Takaoka Sousuke confirms imminent divorce from Miyazaki Aoi

Yesterday, several sources reported rumors that actress Miyazaki Aoi (26) and actor Takaoka Sousuke (29) are getting divorced. Today, Takaoka personally confirmed the situation during a television broadcast, saying that he thinks the divorce will likely happen before the end of this year.
Miyazaki and Takaoka have apparently been living separately since September. According to the weekly magazine Shukan Josei, Miyazaki sent signed divorce papers to Takaoka�fs home last month. Although he was initially shocked, he also signed the papers and returned them to Miyazaki earlier this month.
Miyazaki is scheduled to receive a Best Actress award at a movie award ceremony on December 28, so it is said that she plans to submit the divorce papers between December 29 and December 31.
There have been rumors of trouble in the couple�fs marriage before, but the direct cause for the divorce seems to be Takaoka�fs controversial remarks on Twitter in July about the excess of Korean-related programming on Fuji TV. Those led him to resign from his management agency, and he also lost the lead role in the �gQP�h drama series that aired this fall. The incident caused a rift between him and Miyazaki, and they have been living separately since Takaoka�fs return from New York in August.
Miyazaki and Takaoka began dating when they were teenagers and got married in June 2007.

After tabloid magazine Shukan Josei reported that actor Takaoka Sousuke and actress Miyazaki Aoi were currently living apart and heading towards divorce, Takaoka himself confirmed that the couple plans to split soon.
During the December 21st broadcast of TV Asahi�fs �gJouhou Mansai Live Show Morning Bird!�g, the actor stated that the divorce is not yet complete, but that he thinks it will probably end sometime next year.
When asked about the reasons for their divorce, Takaoka�fs Twitter outburst from July was brought up. �gI was told I�fd said some �etaboo�f things, but I didn�ft know what taboo meant. I didn�ft think it would become such a huge problem up until now,�h he commented. As a result of the incident and its repercussions – such as the loss of his lead role in �gQP�h – the relationship between Takaoka and his wife Miyazaki began to deteriorate. Takaoka himself revealed that when he returned from New York in August, the couple began living separately.
The two have known each other since they were in their teens and finally married in June of 2007. Although their four-year marriage seems to be ending, Takaoka spoke very positively of Miyazaki Aoi and revealed his concern for her. �gWe�fre grateful for one another, she�fs told me that as well,�h he commented. �g(Miyazaki) really is a nice girl. She�fs so pure, and she supporting me with everything she had for ten years. I wouldn�ft trade those precious feelings [for anything].�h
