Hi everyone. I used the search feature and couldn't find a dedicated Moteki thread but if this is in the wrong place I apologize.

Now I normally try to figure these things out on my own and I understand the nature of such a request is subjective, but for the life of me I can't understand what I'm supposed to take away/the meaning of Moteki's ending. Would anyone be willing to elaborate on what revelation(s) occurred with Yukio in the last two episodes or so? BTW I haven't seen the movie yet so I don't know if that helps clear things up at all or not. Thanks ahead of time.

EDIT: Also is it implied anywhere or at anytime what Natsuki is trying to shout to Yukio during her final scene in the drama? This stuff is bugging me for some reason more that it should.

^ Looks like there is no Moteki thread, so I'll create one and merge your thread into it...

I think the whole point of the ending was for Yukio's realization that he doesn't need to depend on his 'moteki' to seek for girls and that he can be a part of someone else's moteki. Kinda like going from seeker to becoming the one for a special lady to seek. A graduation of sorts, so to speak.

I haven't seen any Japanese dramas for an extremely long time but decided to watch this one, particularly because I have recently worked on a film starring Rinko Kikuchi. (Yeah...nothing to brag...I'm just a background actor)
