Finished Strawberry Night. My only complaint is that with that cast the stories could have been better, but still a pretty good drama.

^^ Mixed reviews for the Saigo drama here but still looking forward to it, gonna start it later on tonight.
Finished season 2 of Shinya Shokudo, not quite as good as the first season but still an enjoyable view, though not as good better than most dramas these days. Also started on Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu, through 2 episodes nothing good nor bad about it, just okay so far but went in not expecting much so really can't be disappointed if it's a flop. _________________

I completely agree with that though! I had the same feeling about the around 40 thing! In the meantime I finished the drama and I liked the conclusion very much!
And I started Bunshin, not sure about that one but hey it's only 5 episodes and I am on holiday ...
This is Nao Matsushits's Asadora, and I've been sitting on it until the subtitles were complete. Well, I've got it all now, and it came highly recommended, so I've decided to see what watching an Asadora in big chunks is like.
Right now I'm on week 7 (of 25 or 26 weeks... six short episodes per week) and I'm enjoying not only the experience, but the show itself.
I was a little surprised to see Nao playing the lead since leads in Asadoras almost always go to "new faces". But it's working for me. I've had a bit of a crush on her for a few years, so I went in knowing that on that level I'd enjoy myself from the start.
I don't know if I'll get all the way to the end in one straight shot (Mostly because I have "Strawberry Night" and Uchida Yuki's show waiting for me on the hard drive) but so far, it keeps me coming back every day for another three of four episodes. _________________

Saigo Kara Nibanme no Koi, first 6 episodes and have it enjoyed quite a bit since the first minute of it, first one I've seen from 2012 and could be hard to top, then again they'll be a lot more coming out.
On the other hand Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu is just horrible and that's being kind about it, crappy story, boring and unlikable characters, may be one that will be unfinished.
Also just started on Tomehane, this looks promising, HS drama that revolves around the Calligraphy club, they're even intense on things like that, interesting if you're into Kanji and the right way to write them, lot of people there don't do it right and often they break down the correct ways to write them. _________________
Best JDrama romantic comedy I've watched since Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (if you consider KDO a romantic comedy) and up toward the top of my list of all time favorites. Never was bored and each episode kept getting better. Koizumi and Nakai were brilliant all the way to the end, and Iijima and Uchida (especially Uchida) were great too.

Probably should have been named "Unlucky Seven." Eita knew a good thing when he ditched toward the end (he did come back). Nanako was pretty much wasted until the end. Blah.

Actually better than I thought it would be. But the food was still better than the drama.
Hayami-san to Yobareru Hi
First time I've watched Matsushita Nao in a drama and I liked her. Very charismatic. Now that "Gegege no Nyobo" has been fully subbed, might have to check that out. Otherwise the drama was just ok.
Actually, I couldn't distinguish Matsushita Nao's role in Hayami-san to Yobareru Hi
from her role in Gegege.
I got so hooked to Gegege that I asked Kinokuniya if they could bring in a copy of his autobiography manga. I didn't realised the English version wasn't ready then. (This book was mentioned in the drama when the two tax collectors came knocking at his door, unconvinced that he could not pay tax).
Saka no Ue no Kumo : Is that the one that took a couple of years to produce and run? And they got Sarah Brightman to sing the theme song?

Yup, that's the one. They ran it in three parts after the taiga ended in Japan over three years. I don't know how people could remember where they left off with a one year gap between parts.
