You should save that drama for those occasions where you can't get to sleep. Mr Green

LOL! I got a little further last night. I think I'm up to episode 4 now.

About half way through Kage No Gundan III & a Korean drama. Will be starting Ataru when I'm done.

Finished Kaeru no Oujo-sama.

As has been said before, cheesy. Mostly limburger cheese. Pretty much the only thing I liked were the musical numbers, most of them were fun. Not much else, barely watchable for the music.

Up to episode 8 of Beautiful Rain. Etsushi slowly going more and more nuts. Crazy

And up to episode 6 of Keigo Higashino Mysteries. This was Nagasawa's episode as guest star so even the scene at the funeral her dress only came down to mid-thigh (gotta keep the fanboys happy). There were several times in this episode where I laughed out loud, I hope they meant for this episode to be funny. OMG

^ Waiting for subs on those two, upon the recommendation of antspace started Hatsukoi: http://jdorama.com/drama.1766.htm

Pretty good so far thru the first three episodes. Kimura and Ihara are great and even Aoki Munetaka, who I've seen in a few dramas and never thought much of is very good as Kimura's husband. I just hope it doesn't devolve into what I call the "idiot plot" where if one person had used their brain for 5 seconds instead of being an idiot all the misunderstanding could have been avoided. Fingers crossed

Oh, if anybody thinks they might not like this because it's a hospital drama, it's not. It's a drama in a hospital setting, which is not the same thing.

Slowly savouring 'Kazoku Kashimasu- Family Complex'. A company providing surrogate family services with a conscience. I didn't quite understood what this mean until I started watching.

Pessimistic as I am, I will keep this to watch it again in winter when there is no jdrama worth watching

Can someone tell the producer to expand this single episode into a full-fledge 11-episodes.

Dropped Ghost Mama Sousasen, it got boring and felt too much like a children's show.

finished Legal High and Saba Doru...both are light, easy to watch series...
There's really not much of a story per se but a bit entertaining nevertheless...

Oh, and I saw that there a new GTO series... so I got excited.
But it seems that its not extension and just a re-harsh of the old story... Grumble
Was hoping that the series would continue on with whats on the anime/manga plot...

The movie industry refers to that as a "Reboot."

I call it "Let's remake the same movie with some new actors and make some more money" or "I haven't come up with a new idea for a movie in the past five minutes, so let's remake a past blockbuster film."

Bleh, another mediocre season of dramas. Only one that is kind of holding my interest is Beautiful Rain. Fairly nice family drama that has its light and funny moments, hasn't gotten too melodramatic (but I know it's coming) and it does have Nakatani Miki and Ashida Mana.

At least I can look forward to the Fall dramas with some heavyweight actors lined up to be in them. Fingers crossed

Summer Rescue 1-7 epsiodes

The mountains and scenery are breathtaking and spectacular but there's not much else special about it. I like Ono Machiko though and she is probably why I am still watching.

Rich Man Poor Woman 1-9 epsiodes

A little disappointed after a promising start, mainly with how Makoto is being written/acted. The politics and work parts weren't interesting for me, and it felt like there wasn't much romance until episode 9.

Yeah, I like Lips as much as the next guy but her character is just plain idiotic. Sweat

Up thru episode 9 of Higashino Keigo Mysteries.

The guest star for this episode was Ryoko Hirosue who I am usually not a big fan of, but this was the best episode of the series so far. And next up is Ryoko Shinohara and the redoutable Sei Hiraizumi ( a drama is not officially a drama unless Sei Hiraizumi is in it!) so there's hope this series can be salvaged. Fingers crossed

ic. it snot one of those things I'm fond of....
I prefer wathcing stuff with a new story

Oh well, started watching Ataru... not bad so far...
ad will probably look into finishing unmei no hito sometime this month.

on a different note...
tried out xbmc after having been a zoomplayer faithful for so many years...
xbmc looks gorgeous especially with the aeon mq3 skin... Shocked but in terms of usability and abundance of controls, zplayer cant be beat.
but im pretty sure i'll spend a lot of time tinkering with xbmc and use that more often though... just cause it looks really nice

Rewatching Hero. 11 years on, it's still a classic.

Episode 11 of Beautiful Rain. Not as sentinmental as I expected but that could be because they're taking this drama out to 12 episodes.

Looks like they've decided to ride the Mana Ashida popularity train as far as it goes.
