Time for Schumi to let the young lions have their chance... Maybe he should take up sports car or Le Mans racing... Smile

I don't know why Michael came back to be honest. I feel it was a sense of loyalty to ross brawn and also something to do on Sunday afternoons! His heart wasn't totally in it I think.

Being given a Chevy Astro van by my cousin. Only has 90,000 miles. Takes all the worry out of choosing a second car. LOL. Mr Green

You might want to wait until they get it completely broken in, probably still has that "new car smell". Bleah

Race - Vettel wins at Suzuka to slash Alonso's title advantage

Sebastian Vettel moved to within four points of Fernando Alonso in the fight for the world championship, after Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix saw Red Bull dominate and Ferrarifs leader meet with another first-corner disaster.

As Vettel sped into a lead he never relinquished, Alonso had a brush with Lotusfs Kimi Raikkonen and spun with a punctured left-rear tyre in the first corner. At the same time, Raikkonenfs team mate Romain Grosjean hit Red Bullfs Mark Webber and Williamsf Bruno Senna collided with Mercedesf Nico Rosberg.

The safety car was deployed for just two laps, and thereafter Vettel picked up where he left off to score a win that brought his points tally to 190 compared to Alonsofs 194. He was simply untouchable.

Behind him, Sauberfs Kamui Kobayashi valiantly held on to second place ahead of McLarenfs Jenson Button and Ferrarifs Felipe Massa, but the Brazilian leap-frogged both rivals during the first pit stops to snatch a second place that he kept without challenge to salvage something for Ferrari. It was his first podium since Korea 2010, and the performance may well cement Ferrarifs decision to retain him for 2013.

It was thus left to Kobayashi and Button to stage a duel for the final podium slot, and though the McLaren driver pushed to within half a second by the flag, Sauberfs local hero managed his tyres and held on to become only the third Japanese driver to finish on the podium, 22 years after Aguri Suzuki had done so here.

Fred's got to be kicking himself in the ass. Weren't all the "experts" saying Vettel was out of it after Monza?

Congrats to Kobayashi Applaud

And for all the trivia buffs out there, the other Japanese driver to get a podium was Takuma Sato at the U.S. Grand Prix in 2004.

Vettel storms into title lead with Korean win

Red Bullfs Sebastian Vettel may have had some tyre-wear problems towards the end of Sundayfs Yeongam race, but from outside the cockpit it looked like yet another walk in the park for the defending champion as his third victory in a row moved him into the lead of the world championship fight by six points from Fernando Alonso.

On a damage limitation day, the Spaniard brought his Ferrari home third behind Vettel and his team mate Mark Webber. It was the first time that any team have finished one-two this season.

So for all you motorsports fans, gear heads, petrol heads, or whatever I wanted to share two thrilling documentaries that I recently watched, mostly while burning away the calories on the treadmill, a monotonous task made much more enjoyable watching these two documentaries.

You guys might have already heard of this series. It's called "Truth in 24." It consists of two documentaries following the Audi race team at Le Mans. It was extremely well edited and exhilarating to watch.

It's available for free to watch and download on iTunes or alternatively you can view both films on YouTube. I imagine you could probably find a torrent somewhere too.

Official website: http://truthin24.com

Highly recommended for race fans.

Man, I absolutely loved it!!!! Given the fact you are a race enthusiast, I doubt you will not enjoy it.

I am usually reserved at such wholehearted recommendations...I believe the last one being the Dream Team doc I wrote about here that aired on ESPN. I know you liked that one as well but I remember you saying it should have been longer, as your only complaint. Beaten

From formula1.com:
Sebastian Vettel was never remotely challenged in the second Indian Grand Prix on Sunday, winning it even more easily than he did the first a year ago. Once he'd shrugged off a half challenge from Red Bull team mate Mark Webber in the first corner, he controlled the race and won it as he pleased. It was his fourth consecutive victory, and the first time since Ayrton Senna in 1989 that a driver has led every lap for three races in a row.

His only moments of concern were when his undertray generated a few sparks under braking towards the end, and when Ferrari's Fernando Alonso pushed ahead of Webber when the Australian ran into KERS problems, and began to close the gap slightly. Vettel had plenty in hand, however, and won by 9.4s to move 13 points clear of the Spaniard in the drivers' standings.

Vettel excluded from qualifying results for fuel infringement

Red Bullfs Sebastian Vettel has been excluded from Saturdayfs qualifying results for the 2012 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after the stewards found his car did not have sufficient fuel onboard to comply with the rules on its return to parc ferme.

The German stopped out on track at the end of Q3, after being told over his radio to pull over at the side of the circuit following advice from engine supplier Renault. Vettel, who had qualified in third behind team mate Mark Webber and polesitter for McLaren Lewis Hamilton, is now expected to start from the pit lane.

Although, after a lengthy discussion, the FIA stewards accepted that Vettel had stopped due to reasons of eforce majeuref, there wasnft enough fuel in his RB8 to provide a one-litre sample in post-qualifying scrutineering, as required by the sportfs technical regulations.
