Episode 2 isn't any better. I may wait for this to finish airing and watch the last two episodes. I have a feeling I won't miss anything.

But I think H.I.S. Travel probably likes all the free advertising their getting.

I'm the opposite! I loved the first episode! It reminds me of the dramas from the start of the last decade. Sort of slice of life, optimistic, solid cast, a bit funny. It's a relaxing watch, that's for sure, but I like the gentle awkwardness and the lack of melodrama (so far). Man I am tired of melodrama.

On to episode 2!

(Kekkon Shinai is the drama if you're reading this out of context)

For me, there's nothing in this show, so far, that makes me want to watch the next episode. What story line is interesting? Why should I even care about Amami Yuki's or Tamaki Hiroshi's characters?

Perhaps you can't understand because you're not someone who doesn't want to get married? Personally I don't believe in marriage, so I can relate to their three problems. I just hope they don't all three end up married anyway by the end of the show. Or maybe you're just not nosey enough? I find it funny that so many people ask them "When are you getting married?" or 'Why aren't you married?" and the fact is that I get asked about my lack of relationship as well. People are just naturally nosey about other people's business, but in degrees.

I can understand your feelings, but I just like the characters. That's enough to keep me interested. It looks to me like you just want more drama.

Watched Priceless episode one last night, this year's Kimutaku. It's very Zeitgeist in that it's all about austerity. They kept it light and unrealistic and it was an easy watch.

As with most Kimutaku dramas I like best the line-up of the actors he's paired up with. This is no exception, I like Karina, Nakai Kiichi and Fujiki Naohito (always easy on the eyes) and the two spunky kids. Since I think I know how the story will progress and end, I might not continue but it wasn't bad ...

I watched epi 1 of Priceless as well. Pretty much agree with everything you said. Looks like it'll be the standard riches-to-rags-the-best-things-in-life-are-free story. Good supporting cast. Mari Natsuki, who along with Hitomi Kuroki is a charter member of the "we look better in our 50s than most women do in their 20s" club. HOT! And fortunately the two little kids aren't nearly as insufferable as the two that were in Stepfather Step. Applaud

Yeah, I watched the debates too.

I gave Strawberry Night a try. It was like watching a balloon deflate slowly. I put it away before it turned into an inert mass of something.

The drama? The special seemed okay to me.

Different kinds of nightmares. Shingo scares me in a scary way. Goro scares me in a "holy crap this guy can't act so how did he ever last this long in the entertainment industry?" way.

^ Well, he's an idol. Idols don't need to act. Thought he's very good in 13 Assassins.

I mean, Yamapi is probably the worst young leading actor ever and he still got leading roles, so...

Fujiki is the mean boss, right? Sad I don't like watching him be mean. The character description on tokyohive said his role is "the vice-president of the company, eOyashiki Toichirof who will drive Kindaichi into a corner in an exhaustive manner".

Sad

Well I was brave enough to face the stuff nightmares are made off.

Monsters episode one starring .... Katori Shingo AND Yamapi - as police officers. Dreadful stuff, they went for a comedy angle with Yamapi as the Boke!

Since I will drop this, I will not be able to let you know if MatsuJun or Goro ever made a guest appearance.

On a more positive Johnny's note, I am enjoying Osozaki no Himawari with Ikuta Toma and Maki Yoko. Nothing new, it's about the struggles of 6, 7 people in their early 30ties in a small town. But did I mention I had the pleasure to see Maki Yoko (and Shibasaki Kou) at the Tokyo Film Festival. One of the hottest Japanese ladies I have ever seen. HOT! Smitten I became a total fan.

That reminds me! I should change my profile pic. I grew out of MatsuJun years ago. XD He's actually really awful, isn't he? Bonk

Despite that Priceless and Monsters was kind of meh, I don't think I'll really be dropping anything this season. I'm being kind of Gluttonous when it comes ti jdramas.

Finally started Tokyo Zenryoku Shoujo today. Takei Emi is faaaaaaaaaabulous in this. So much better than last season's bomb, Iki mo Dekinai Natsu. Though Miura Shohei is playing the exact same guy he played in Hungry, which is sad.
