StarBlazers gets a remake in the form of Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
Its' nice to be able to watch the classics again with current generation animation techniques.

I haven't seen the live action movie yet but I doubt it would be as entertaining as the anime one...

Started watching Space Brothers anime....
Its easily one of the more entertaining animes I've watched this year.

Its weird but appreciated to see a place your familiar with, included in the anime - places like the houston downtown, sam houston park (renamed as sun houston park), and of course, nasa. hehe

Not for ppl that likes action and or harem/comedy though; as its more of a character development anime.

Looking forward to seeing the live-action movie as well...

I've been out of the loop here. Can anyone recommend a couple of good comedy or food related animes that has been recently out?
I don't mind completed or still airing

I just finished watching Thermae Romae...6 short episodes of 15 minute length.
In 128 AD, Lucius is a bathhouse architect in the Ancient Roman Empire. When he loses his job, a friend takes him to a bath to relax. There, he is transported to a bathhouse present-day Japan. Pretty funny.

I think Abe Hiroshi starred in the live action movie based on the same.

I haven't burned anything on disc for years. I just have a networked drive that I back up and store my files to now.
