I didn't pick that one at the end, but went for Kare, Otto, Otoko Tomodachi with Maki Yoko instead. I think I made a good choice, right?

Last Cinderella episode one, super light and silly, and Shinohara IS the female Kimutaku, getting always paired up with an upcoming hot actor. The older they get, the age gap widens, but hey it's only fair and equal, if Kimutaku gets to hang out with Karina, Ryoko can surely have a fling with 23year old Miura Hamura Mr Green
Fun fact: Shinohara's character seems to be living in my neighbourhood, the shrine she prays at in very first scences is literally 2 mins from my place.

Yes, definitely "Kare, Otto, , ," is the better of the two. Although the DV scenes went too far over the top. I was saying to myself, "Okay, we get it already!!" Kimura Tae has got to be one of the most underrated actresses out there.

Speaking of Shinohara, I ran across an oldie "Kira, Kira, Hikaru":http://www.jdorama.com/drama_207.htm.

Looks like some people really liked it, but given the cast (Fukatsu, Suzuki Kyoka, Yanagiba, Kobayashi Satomi, etc.) I was kind of disappointed. The cases weren't that compelling, I kept watching to see how the subplot between Suzuki and Shinohara (they're sisters) played out, and 10 minutes into episode 9 you could figure that one out.

Absolutely agree, the DV scenes were a bit too Last Friends! Shame, because the victim's co-dependency was done quite well. But overall, a good solid drama!

Edit: as predicted I am already sick of Freeter because we watch it at school - it really takes out the fun of a drama when you have to take notes, answer questions, recite dialogues and write essays about each episode!

35-sai no Koukousei so far is a bit awkward. Kasuka no Kanojo is a bit weird. And Last Cinderella actually looks promising.

Last Cinderella episode 2 - continues to be light and enjoyable, but I must honestly say the story is extremely tired. However, Shinohara is super charming and loveable, and a joy to watch, so I will continue.

And yes, not only Shinohara's but also Fujiki's character lives about 2 minutes from my place, in one of the most coveted and probably most expensive properties in my area. Great what a hairdresser's salary can get you in drama world Bleah
Must pass there everyday now to see if there are still filming Mr Green

I keep on watching Saikou No Rikon whenever there's a new episode, I don't think it''s thrilling but it's good enough (and there are cool cats Wink). I just started Itsumo futari de, story looks promising hopefully it's great !

Oh finally I didn't like Itsumo Futari De, must be because of Matsu Takako who on my opinion can do only one good thing : crying. She annoyed me already in Love Generation, but it was ok somehow because she was so very young you could easily forgive her clumsiness but now that she aged...oh well maybe I'll give it another try later.
I finally finished Long Love Letter and I don't really know what to think about it Big Grin I watched it for Kubozuka Yosuke and Tokiwa Takako and they were good as I expected. On the other hand there were lots of bad acting from the secondary characters (especially the evil bi-atch who was really ludicrous Big Grin)
Story was mostly fine and intriguing, but in the end the first thought that popped in my mind was "lol what?? Sweat "

Yeah, they went for the safe ending which kind of disappointed me. It had its moments though, I would still recommend it.

Oh you finished it? I'm stuck at ep 8 and I can't find the next episode with english subtitles.

I'm watching a new drama, Over Time, with Sorimachi "Hotman" Takashi. I know exactly how it's gonna end Big Grin but I enjoy it quite much.

So I finally started on this season's dramas, and still crawling my way from the dramas aired first until later. Watching first episode Itazura na Kiss the new version and it's surprisingly decent, especially the heroine.

Also watching Kogure Shashinkan, and I'm loving it so far. It got quite an edgy look to it too.

Rewatching Shota No Sushi with my husband, his first time.
Loving it again.

Then started Hotel II. Takes place in Australia. I always like series about good service. So, so far so good. Victory! Peace!
