So I went to Mitsuwa on Thursday to slurp some noodles at the Hokkaido Fair. Had myself a bowl of aka ramen (red ramen with chili) form Ezofukuro Ramen visiting once again all the way from Sapporo, Japan.

Looks good... If I get the chance, I'd try the kuro ramen.
Go for it. I didn't have the choice, bro. First two days Thursday and Friday, Ezofukuro was only offering miso ramen and aka ramen. The kuro ramen will be available tomorrow.
I'm not that big on lamb because I remember it as being a bit too gamey for me, but these lamb chops were mild in flavor, grilled to perfection, and very tasty... Definitely worth a second visit.

Ate at this mom and pop type cafe in Little Tokyo today, that's been owned by the same Japanese family for generations. It's called JiST Cafe www.jistcafe.com
Had the Chashu Hash Skillet with Six Minute Eggs. Over the top good.

Cool video. Thanks for sharing. As expensive as that counter seating omakase is ($150) you could easily pay that here in LA for omakase at some of the better sushi restaurants, if not more. In a couple of cases waaaay more. Urasawa on Rodeo Drive comes to mind....not to say there aren't more expensive sushi restaurants in New York.
It's kinda funny how ramen are somewhat experiencing a new hype in the west, while, when I'm in Japan and cook for my friends, the food I make is gone faster than you can say Quidditch. _________________
