A good idea for the Hall of Fame: http://www.talkoffamenetwork.com/reassessing-how-hall-should-juggle-seniors-contributors/

I'm glad they mentioned Dan Reeves in that article. There are three coaches that have lost four Super Bowls, Bud Grant, Marv Levy, and Dan Reeves, and Grant and Levy are already in the Hall., and they did it with essentially the same team every year. Reeves took two different teams to the Super Bowl. That should count for something.

I'm guessing Reeves hasn't gotten enough credit because of A) The Elway factor. People thinking, "Well, he had Elway he SHOULD get to the Super Bowl. and B) That all four Super Bowls he lost were blowouts.

And all the local TV news outlets are going over the top about the Rams being in the Super Bowl. For some reason that made me remember that great quote by "Mr. Teamwork", Duane Thomas, "If this is the ultimate game, why are they playing it again next year?" Bleah

If the "masseuse" had been smart, she'd have asked for a couple Super Bowl tickets: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/patriots/2019/02/22/robert-kraft-prostitution-solicitation-charges-patriots/2952434002/

Lost two great ones this week. First, Keith Lincoln, the MVP of the Chargers one and only championship winning game: https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/chargers-rams/story/2019-07-27/keith-lincoln-chargers-afl-great-dies?fbclid=IwAR2X4u9Mjazavg_u5j3lxxr_MWT09QEDxGR9vEmo04IOkgx3TbbGECU1aFE

And today, Nick Buoniconti, a key part of the great Dolphin no-name defense of the early 70s: https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article233336747.html?fbclid=IwAR1KCWYYjbCDsFhY2BVE1n5ThkkrfAuFy6fSL6jfjjSpdYelbLvKvbNBK2I

Ironically, they played against each other in the 1963 AFL championship game.

Talking about obituaries, imho American Football itself died in January when the refs didn't call this foul (pass interference + illegal helmet to helmet contact)...Grumble

Assuming there's an NFL season again, there might be a Japanese player in the league: https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2020/06/883a86cf721e-japanese-kicker-sato-hoping-for-offer-from-nfls-cowboys-raiders.html

The NFL's version of Sandy Koufax. He didn't play very long, but while he did, he was the best. Gale Sayers passes away at 77: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/29951448/chicago-bears-hall-fame-running-back-gale-sayers-dies-age-77

The Padres played there as well, but "The Murph" will always be more associated with the Chargers: https://www.yahoo.com/sports/san-diegans-left-feeling-sad-murph-comes-down-222514634--nfl.html
