Satomi Ishihara to star in TBS Summer 2019 drama

Satomi Ishihara will star in the TBS live-action drama series “Heaven?: Gokuraku Restaurant.” Also in the cast are Sota Fukushi, Jun Shison, Masanobu Katsumura, Yasunori Danta and Ittoku Kishibe. The drama series is based on manga series “Heaven?: Gokuraku Restaurant” by Noriko Sasaki. The drama series is set at a French restaurant that will soon open, but its staff is highly unusual and the restaurant is located at a cemetery.

“Heaven?: Gokuraku Restaurant” will first airs in July, 2019 in ?Japan.

Satomi Ishihara to star in Fuji TV 2020 Spring drama "Unsung Cinderella"

Satomi Ishihara will star in the Fuji TV live-action drama series “Unsung Cinderella". She will play pharmacist Midori Aoi.

Her character has worked as a pharmacist at a hospital for the past 8 years. She believes that medicine is related to a patients' daily life and, because of this, pharmacists needs to know about their patients. As a result, she spends more time with her patients than other pharmacists.

The drama begins in April 2020.

Satomi Ishihara tests positive for Covid-19

On February 4th, Ishihara Satomi's agency announced that the actress has been infected with the novel coronavirus.

According to her agency, Ishihara tested positive after taking a PCR test in mid-January. She has no symptoms and is recuperating at home with plans to return to work at the end of this week.

Satomi Ishihara to star in NTV Spring 2021 drama

Satomi Ishihara will star in the NTV Spring 2021 drama "Koi wa Deep ni". Also starring will be Go Ayano.

Ishihara plays Mio Nagisa an oceanographer, Ayano plays Rintaro Hasuda the son of a prominent family that has just returned from England. Mio wants to stop the development of a giant marine resort that Rintaro has been put in charge of, but the two end up falling in love.

The drama will air in April.

Satomi Ishihara pregnant with first child

On January 10th, Satomi Ishihara announced through her agency HoriPro that she is pregnant with her first child!

“I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but I would like to report that I am pregnant with my first child. I have safely reached the stable period of my pregnancy, and taking things easy. I am due in the spring,” Satomi said in her statement.

She added, “While thinking of my baby first, I would like to continue to work hard doing what I love at my own pace. To everyone that is supportive of me, I would appreciate it if you could watch over me warmly.”

In October 2020, Satomi announced her marriage to a non-celebrity man.

Satomi Ishihara gives birth to first child

On April 23rd, Satomi Ishihara's agency announced she has given birth to her first child.

The announcement states, "At this time, we would like to announce that our company's Ishihara Satomi has given birth to her first child. Both mom and baby are healthy and doing well. Ishihara will resume her work while prioritizing her health and childcare situation. We would like to thank everyone for their support until now and ask that you continue to watch over her warmly."

Ishihara also released a statement saying, "I really feel the support from everyone around me in this past year. Also, I am sincerely happy that something more important than my own life has been born. My pace will change, but I want to continue to enjoy work, so please support me!"
