Yuina Kuroshima to star in 106th asadora "Chimudondon"

Yuina Kuroshima will star in the 106th asadora "Chimudondon". Kuroshima will play Nobuko Higa. She moves from Okinawa to Tokyo to become a cook of western food. She eventually decides to open an Okinawa cuisine restaurant in Tokyo.

Storyline:
Set in the early 1970's in Okinawa, Nobuko Higa (Yuina Kuroshima) lives with her family. She is the second daughter with 3 siblings. She enjoys cooking. One day, she has a meal with her family at a restaurant. She becomes fascinated with western food after having it at the restaurant. Later, her father suddenly dies and her mother works hard to support her 4 children. Nobuko cooks for her family, while her mother works.

Nobuko eventually graduates from high school. While dreaming of becoming a western cuisine chef, she goes to Tokyo and becomes an apprentice at a famous restaurant. While she grows as a cook, she meets various people and has a romantic relationship. She begins to think that she wants to open an Okinawa cuisine restaurant in Tokyo.

The drama airs in Spring, 2022.

Mokomichi Hayami and Yumi Wakatsuki to co-star in Spring 2021 drama

Mokomichi Hayami and Yumi Wakatsuki will co-star in the ABC-tvk drama "Kekkon Dekinai ni wa Wake ga Aru".

Wakatsuki plays Mariko Goto. At the age of 29 she wants to get married and thinks she has found the ideal man, the section chief at her company, Mitsuo Tomizawa, played by Hayami. He is smart, handsome, good worker but he has a secret. He doesn't want to get married to a real woman because he is in love with his toy doll Michuko.

The drama airs beginning in April 2021.

Aya Omasa to star in WOWOW Summer 2021 drama

Aya Omasa will star in the WOWOW Summer 2021 drama "Hitori de Nomeru mon".

Omasa plays Mei Benikawa who works in the PR department of a cosmetics company. She was chosen as the head of her department even though she is younger than most of her co-workers. This creates jealousy and gossip from them, among the rumors is that she only eats health foods. However, the truth is that she enjoys drinking alone at a chain restaurant on her way home from work. This gives her the confidence to go to work everyday.

The drama will air in June, 2021.
