Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉]
Versatile actor. Love his voice, his kissable lips and sexy walk. Mr. sex appeal. No wonder he is king of jdorama. Love him in Good Luck!! and Engine.
Koyuki [小雪]
Totemo kirei desu. I loved her in Engine and the film The Last Samurai. I wish I look like her.
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵]
Talk about versatility....I loved her in Gokusen, so kawaii and funny and in the film Shinobi so mysterious and elegant as the female ninja.
Sanada Hiroyuki [真田広之]
Versatile actor,so handsome and sexy. Very intense in the movies I've seen him in -White Countess, Last Samurai , the Promise and Twilight Samurai.
Tsutsumi Shinichi [堤真一]
Otoko mai desu. Really handsome from every angle and a superb actor. Can't wait to watch more of his jdorama and films. I loved Good Luck!! because of him and KimuTaku. Shnichi chan was a bit dorky though in Yamato Nandeshiko or Perfect Woman as the academic math professor Osuke Nakahara. It just shows he has got a wide acting range.

Anego [アネゴ]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
I love it. The humor, the true to life plot and the chemistry between Ryoko as Naoko and Jin Akanishi as Kurosawa-kun, the hottest salaryman ever. I must admit I watched this drama for the joy of watching Akanishi-kun. With the end of each episode, I couldn't wait to start the next. Do older women younger men relationships really last in real life, I wonder? But its fun while it lasts. I also like the open ended finale, it allows the viewers to come out with endless possibilities of how the couple finally ends up together.
Atashinchi no Danshi [アタシんちの男子]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
The ikemen factor-6 of them including the little one made me watch this drama plus Maki Horikita was such a cute homeless person. The plot was a bit quirky and mostly silly leading to nowhere except the sauna. And those sauna scenes were sizzling hot so I stayed on. And of course there is the socially redeeming value of family and love above all else that made me await each subbed episode with bated breath. nah, the truth is Osamu Mukai was just too hot in this drama.
Atsu-Hime [篤姫]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
What's there not to love in Aoi Miyazaki? She breath fresh life into the role of the wife of the 13th Shogun as Atsuhime. I love her on screen chemistry with Eita as Naogoro the lower level samurai who was her childhood friend, confidante, iGo playing mate and all around hanger on. Of course they all played really important roles in unifying Japan when they got older!!!
Bambino! [バンビーノ!]
(Watched)
Currently watching just finished ep.7 the series makes me hungry although i don't really care for pasta.
Beautiful life [ビューティフルライフ]
(Watched)
Still watching it for the joy of watching Takuya Kimura who is such a natural actor.
Bijo ka Yajuu [美女か野獣]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Exciting true to life stories from the TV newsroom. I was fascinated and glued to the tube every episode. Have not watched anything like this on television before. Loved the character of Makoto Tamiya so principled, elegant, driven. Loved her clothes. Nanako Matsushima shows another facet of her wide acting range as the serious, career driven TV executive Makoto who seldom smiled but has a soft heart.I love independent women. Masaharu Fukuyama as producer Hiromi Nagase was so cool, cheeky, goofy and laid- back. His flippant character was a sharp contrast to the unsmiling workaholic Makoto. The love angle was not bad either and the ending, pure jdorama- nothing specific but its left to the imagination of the viewer. And since I love happy endings, this one is a happy one.
Bloody Monday [ブラッディ・マンデイ]

Brother Beat [ブラザー☆ビート]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
I loved this series, its like being a member of their family. Great way to get an insight into the relationships of the japanese family. it was japanese family 101 in a drama, absolutely cool and fascinating. Stressed hard work and tradition. Oh and did I mention Tesuji Tamayama , what a hottie!!!!
Buzzer Beat ~ Gakeppuchi no Hero [ブザー・ビート]
Rating: 8/10
Not a big fan of basketball cause I'm a soccer groupie but watching Buzzer Beat was a no brainer and stress buster, so i finished all episodes in 2 days. If you're a sports buff and craving some light romance, this is the drama to watch.
Byakkotai [白虎隊]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Young lives, brave hearts, samurai to the end. Loved the two part series, it's history incapsulated in 4 hours with Yamapi, Koki and Taipi as the teen samurai who put their youth and young lives on the line to uphold the Bushido code. Its a bittersweet drama , tragic yet happy, like eating sweet sour hard candy. A must watch for historical drama addicts like me.
Byakuyakou [白夜行]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Intense, compelling, tragic and addicting from the first episode to the last. I cried a river everytime I watched this series about the dark and twisted love bond of two childhood friends. I don't know which is more tragic this drama or Crying out Love in the Center of the World. Yamada and Ayase gave another great acting performance as Ryoji and Yuuki who only have each other. I didn't want the series to end. I wanted Ryoji and Yuuki to remain in suspensed animation forever to love and walk in the sun. " You are my sun." they tell each other. If you love stories of first love, enduring love, then this is a must see.
CHANGE
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Are you ready for CHANGE? Hell yeah! Takuya Kimura rocks as the youngest PM of Japan.I'm wired from watching ep 3 of this exciting political drama and I want more. Nerdy school teacher Asakura Keita with his broccoli hair is pure love."Explain it to me please like you are talking to a fifth grader." Throw in Abe Hiroshi who is a terrific actor ( Loved him in Dragon Sakura) as the laid back political strategist, Fukatsu Neri ( omg she was super in Bayside Shakesdown !)as the feisty ball busting political aid and the pretty Kato Rosa as the funny political groupie and voila, its a dynamite combination that is sure to make this drama a hit!!! I'm a Takuya Kimura fan-atic so hey I'll watch any video with him in it even if all he does is roll up his eyes!!!
Chuushingura 1/47 [忠臣蔵 1/47]

Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei [コード・ブルー]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Code Blue Dr. Heli is Yanagiba Toshiro's drama all the way as he gave life to the cold, no emo, all work no play surgeon Kuroda sensei. I love this guy since I first watched him in Bayside Shakedown and the Grand Tribe, he is one awesome actor. His real life performance made the series not just another ER drama. Yamapi was terrific as the intern another cold surgeon in the making, gosh this guy is eye candy. Erika Toda and Aragaki Yuu were adorable as flight surgeons in training. Erika has matured a lot as an actress since Death lNote and Gakky gave credence to her role as a conflicted adult. But the young uns were just the icing on the cake, Yanagiba Toshiro brought life to Dr. Heli and the behind the scenes true to life drama in the ER.
Dekichatta Kekkon [できちゃった結婚]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Thank goodness it just lasted 11 episodes. It was both funny and real. Girl gets pregnant after one interlude with carefree bachelor. Tackles the issue of unmarried pregnancy realistically. Loved Yutaki Takennouchi's carefree fun loving bachelor character who had to take responsibility for the one night stand. Kyoko Hirosue was a natural but then she was great in the Franco Japanese film Wasabi. Kinda strange watching Sonny Chiba in a different role as father and first time to watch Abe Hiroshi and he is good. But the drama was worth it because Satoshi Tsumabuki the next big thing in Japanese cinema was so kakkooi and sugoi as Shinjou Takumi, Ryunosuke's assistant.I really like the ending but do people in real life give up their dreams just like that?
Dragon Zakura [ドラゴン桜]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I love teen dramas of underdogs who end up on top of the world, and this one really rocked. Powerhouse cast of Abe Hiroshi and jidol Yamapi, Misami Nagasawa and Aragaki Yui. Hey I wanna get into Toudai too!
Engine [エンジン]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought)
I cried a river over the stories of the orphans/children residents of the house.I specially loved the story of the fat boy Morio who loved japanese mayonnaise and his father. Kimutaku has the sexiest lips in the universe, the sexiest walk, over the top sex appeal. He is one hot stud.I want to look like the actress Koyuki she is gorgeous. But Gong Li is still the most beautiful woman in the universe, followed by Choi Ji Woo.
First Kiss [ファースト・キス]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
The Inoue Mao and Ito Hideaki mystic factor got me to watching this drama but I wasn't crazy about the storyline at all!!!
Friends [フレンズ]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought)
Is Won Bin Korea's Takuya Kimura?....could be. He and the actress Kyoko Fukada had great on screen chemistry and Won Bin is really a gorgeous Korean and an intense actor. I loved the story, 2 hearts one love conquers all. Sigh! I love this world. Anything is possible in the name of love. Lee Dong Gun......mmmmmm let me think, he is cute but not my type. He can act though. As far as Korean actors are concerned Jo In Sung is the handsomest man in the universe. Gong Yoo is the sexiest Korean actor and Park Shin-yang has the most beautiful smile in the world. Ooophs I almost forgot this is a Jdorama website.
Galileo [ガリレオ]
Rating: 10/10
I loved the fusion of the supernatural and science, logic and intuition in solving crimes. So intriguing!!!Glad to see Masaharu Fukuyama back on the small screen with an awesome performance. He is even hotter than the last time I watched him in Bijo Ju Yujuu where he played a cool, cheeky laid- back TV producer , his flippant character a sharp contrast to the serious genius Yukawa-sensei a.k.a. Galileo sensei. Kou Shibasaki gives another credible performance as the intuitive detective. Every episode was exciting, I couldn't wait for the next. And ep 4 with Shingo Katori of SMAP in that sexy shower scene made this fangirl faint. Is it too much to wish for a Part 2?
Gift [ギフト]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Takuya Kimura is truly the king of jdorama. He is too sexy and beautiful for words in his role as the man with no past, no memories. Its a joy watching him play a Gucci clad, Cohiba cigar smoking delivery man who rides a bike with an attitude. Love, money and betrayal is the classic theme of suspense and mystery thrillers and add the angle of lost memories and it is the work of a genius. But more than that it is a story of redemption, of new beginnings of the sublime internal struggle between good and evil. Gift is a perfect 10, truly worth watching every second of it.
Gokusen [ごくせん]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Escapades of troubled adolescents and high school seniors and a compassionate teacher with a secret who turns them around. Mmmmm seems like a favorite theme for jdorama. I love Yankumi's double life as heir to a crime syndicate and teacher of ruffians with heart.Funniest scenes, Yankumi in a blonde wig and skin tight dress masquerading as a victim for a mugger and when she defeated the gang by the waterfront who fought with her students. MatsuJun and Shun Oguri lite up the screen as delinguent students. This school drama made me laugh and cry and omg so many eye candies.A really entertaining seishun drama.
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん2]
Rating: 9/10
I love Gokusen 2. The boys are hotter, funnier and naughtier than gokusen 1 and yankumi is feistier than ever when it comes to defending her precious students. I like it that Jin Akanishi and Kame are the main stars they are so hot esp. Jin. Mokomichi Hayami is tall dark handsome and for once here is an actor who really looks like a guy, not a bishie. Its kinda like Gokusen 1 in more ways than one. I like the fact that something good always comes out in the end.
Gokusen Season 3 [ごくせん 3]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
When the original gets photocopied, its resolution kinda gets blurry. Gokusen 3 is a rehash of 1 and 2 but its more like Gokusen 2 after watching 4 episodes. The boys are younger and angrier and Takaki Yuuya stands out in my radar cause he was channeling Jin Akanishi's Hayato character from Gokusen 2. I love Yankumi, so I watch. But just between the two of us , Gokusen 1 was impeccable in storyline and casting. Gokusen 2 was irresistible because of Jin and Kame. But I am not complaining, so bring on the bishies in Gokusen 3. I'll continue watching Gokusen 4,5,6,7,......
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought)
I love Takuya Kimura and Shinichi Tsutsumi! Both are kakkoii! So otoko mae! Takuya must have been first in line when God gave out sex appeal, I love this guy. I love his voice, his face, the way he moves, everything about him. Tsutsumi has the perfect face, so handsome, angular and not a single bad angle in any of the shots. No wonder I read in a thread somewhere one of his adoring fans saying How can someone be so handsome? And how can God create only one? Well, God also created Jo In Sung of Korea who is the handsomest man in the universe. The story of this jdorama I can relate to, reminds me of the time I trained with Lufthansa in Germany. Well, I wasn't a cabin crew but I use to explore Frankfurt Flughafen from top to bottom during lunch break and watched the pilots and cabin crew all the time. I love the catchy OST Ride on Time.
Hana Yori Dango Season 2 [花より男子]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I love this drama because I love the Rui Hanizawa character that was channeled by Shun Oguri. And the story is even more exciting that the first one. Wow the ending totally rocked but only because when one has money one can do anything!!!
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e [花ざかりの君たちへ]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Ok i have to admit I watched Hana Kimi because of Shun Oguri, he is one of my japanese dream boys, a real ikemen. And I heard a lot about Maki Horikita too. If Hana Kimi the taiwanese version made me laugh my ass off LMAO, Hana Kimi japanese version made me LOL and cry as well. It was ikemen paradise alright with all those hotties and whew I fell in love with Hiro Mizushima as Nanba-sempai. The story line was impeccable, trust these manga authors to come up with a superb implausible story that becomes reality. Now in real life can a girl masquerading as a boy really get away with it in an all boys high school? No way! I loved all the characters and how they developed. And the ending was superb , just the right touch of maudline to make me cry and smile again. Maki Horikita was the cutest boy in the series, Shun Oguri as Sano gave the role the right amount of freeze as the unemotional star jumper has-been, Toma Ikuta was cute and funny enough as Nakatsu ( but I have to admit at the risk of getting pelted by tomatoes that Jiro Wong was funnier in the same role but in a slap stick way)Nanba-sempai essayed by Hiro was the hottest chick boy in the Osaka High. Lol I love this guy, he looks like a sexy angel, if ever there is one. And Kyou Nobuo ( I can't believe he was Ren in Nana2, it was a complete make-over as a sexy rocker!)as dorm leader Oscar cracked me up, he was really funny and pretty as a woman although he looked older than the rest of the hotties. Wonder if there will be a Part 2?
Hancho ~ Jinnansho Azumihan [ハンチョウ ~ 神南署安積班]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Its not your usual police story that's why i loved it. the drama chronicles the lives of crime fighters with hearts amidst a world of crime and violence.drove home the point that policemen are people too, in case we have forgotten.
Hero
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Finally got to watch Takuya Kimura in Hero. Quirky, odd, weird but his methods work just fine. Kuryu Kohei thinks out of the box and adds a human touch to an otherwise thankless job of prosecuting criminals.
Hotaru no Hikari [ホタルノヒカリ]
Rating: 7/10
Why is it that we never recognize love that is right under our nose?
Ikemen Desu Ne [美男ですね]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Ikemen Desu Ne, the japanese remake of the popular korean drama You are Beautiful, exceeded my expectation and that's saying a lot because I loved the korean original. Gotta admit I fell for second lead Shin played by Jung YonHwa of CN Blue in the original drama, when the band was just an indie group. In the japanese remake, I couldn't deny the sizzling hotness of the OTP of Ren and Mio/Miko, the leader of A.N.Jell and the cross-dressing nun who had to step into her twin brother's shoe while he recuperates from a broken nose. And having Johnny's from my fave Johnny's junior no more band Kis-My-Ft2 ( Kisumai) Tama chan or Tamamori Yuta as Ren the leader and guitarist , Taipi kun or Taisuke Fujiyama ( my super fave in Kisumai w/ Hiromitsu Kitayama )as Shin on vocals and bass and and Hikaru Yaotome of Hey Say Jump (HSJ) as Yuuki on drums was casting genius. As much as I love Park Shin Hye , Miori Takimoto rocked Mio/Miko with just the right amount of cuteness, angst, innocence and beauty. I totally loved her. And there were the cameo roles of Jang Geum Suk the original Ren in the kdrama and the dorky appearance of Kitayama in the last episode, in a Ren meets Ren scenario that was amazing fan service. Kitayama is playing the role of Ren in the musical stage version of Ikemen Desu Ne. I just liked everything about the drama, the pacing, the storyline's development, the characters' development, even Nana the villaness fairy idol ( played byAKB 48 member Kojima Haruna ) was likeable. I give this drama a perfect 10 golden stars too. But don't take my word for it , go watch this 11 episode gem.
Innocent Love [イノセント・ラヴ]
(Watched)
Itsumo futari de [いつもふたりで]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Big dreams, big city, small town boy and girl. Takako Matsu as Mizuho Tanimachi was cute and lost in the big city of her dreams. I loved her determination to suceed against all odds. Kenji Sakaguchi as Kenta Morinaga alias Hachiko was the picture of the small town boy who makes it big in the city against all odds. He is rather clueless though about love. The action was really slow and sometimes boring. But the lesson that one must go for the moon to achieve one's dream is inspirational. And at least the characters no matter how late woke up and smelled the coffee, that love can most often be found right in our own backyard.
Kami no Shizuku [神の雫]
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
Plodded on to the last bitter drop of wine i mean episode of this drama because...honestly, i have no clue why i did that cause i don't even drink wine. I found the wine trivia fascinating though.
Karei naru Ichizoku [華麗なる一族]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Just started watching it and i'm hooked. It is an intense drama.
Kimi wa Petto [きみはペット]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Koyuki is so beautiful but so is MatsuJun even if he was kinda dorky here. And that Hasumi senpai is such a darling too. Really unusual plot of a woman keeping a boy as a pet and they become co-dependent! I'm loving it. I want a Momo too.
Kisarazu Cat's Eye [木更津キャッツアイ]
(Watched)
Funny, silly and weird but great storyline which was touching. Loved Okada Junichi in Tokyo Tower and loved him here especially when he sang the Legend of Red Bridge. Life, love and times in a small Japanese town obsessed with baseball.
Konkatsu! [婚カツ!]

Koshonin [交渉人]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
An ass kicking beauty and brains female negotiator in a male dominated police setting. Throw in some really stoic macho police sempai, a pyschotic killer and a mysterious past she has to overcome and kyaaa this dorama rocked my world from start to finish!!!
Kurisumasu Nante Dai Kirai

Kurosagi [クロサギ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I gave this drama a 10 for the pretty boy factor namely Yamapi!!! What a handsome man!!!! Throw in the kawaii ingredient of Maki Horikita and you've got a bon bon drama with two eye candies! There was the bonus episode with Koyama Keichiro of News. The story though was pretty serious and fascinating enough for me to finish watching over a weekend. And how I love the different looks of Yamapi!!!Its a mind game all over again and that's what kept me at the edge of my seat!!!
Last Friends [ラスト・フレンズ]
(Watched)
I'm still watching and I'm intrigued by the series. Eita always delivers an awesome performance. I was drawn to the series too by the story arch which tackle issues that are not normally touched on by jdoramas- domestic violence, gender issue, molestation. Ryo is surprisingly scary in his role as the icy lover bashing lover. Both inegnue Masami and Ueno are delivering agood performances.
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション]
(Watched)
Still watching the series but i'm already in love with the takuya takako tandem. great chemistry and the story is full of endearing moments so true to life.
Love letter
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
The very first Shunji Iwai movie I watched. Its too beautiful for words. Its about young love unspoken, lost love found too late. This is one movie I can watch over and over again, it knows no boundaries in time and space as love speaks even beyond life itself.
Love Revolution [ラブレボリューション]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Is love really like waiting for a taxi? Mmmm I don't have the answer to that one until after I viewed the jdorama. I love the chemistry of the actors and actresses in this drama and how real it is. They kiss when they want to kiss and say what they want to say. There is none of that "virginal" theme that seems to run through korean dramas. Makiko Esumi as the doctor Asako Kyoko is elegant, beautiful, funny and lovable. Fujiki Naohito as the TV reporter is believable and too good looking. Ryoko Yonekure as Endo Mariko the best friend is charming and enduring. Oshio Manabu as actor Yabuki Mamoru is intense and sexy---- gosh he has the sexiest lips ever, next to my Takuya Kimura. The plot is real in the sense that in life, people in relationship don't always end up happily married. But love that endures through obstacles will always seek out the beloved. I really love the ending. So desu ne.
Lucky Seven [ラッキーセブン]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Watched Lucky Seven , not because of the obvious reasons like Matsujun and Eita but because I havenft watched Nanako in a drama for the longest time. I was totally disappointed with the slow pacing but hanged on for the love of Nanako( whofs in each episode for a total of 2 minutes), MatsuJun, Eita et.al. The plot revolves around a freeter who finally finds a job but hefs got a marshmallow heart so he goes way beyond the line of duty. The few martial arts scenes with MatsuJin and Eita high kicking each other and the villains was worth the watch!
Lunch no Joou [ランチの女王]
(Watched)
Ikemen, food, omurice and a single woman. irresistible drama to the core but mostly because I love watching Eguchi Yosuke.
Maou [魔王]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
The best drama of the summer season. Storyline fantastic, Satoshi Ohno's acting was superb, Ikuta Toma as the detective was amazing. Oh-chan's glare of death and restraint emotion less portrayal of the angel lawyer cum maou -devil was the hardest thing to do in the movie and he gave a brilliant performance. I wanted to hug him everytime I got a chance to give him the love he craved but couldn't have. I like the fast pacing of the series, never a dull moment indeed. But when one's life is dedicated to seeking revenge, there can never be a happy ending.
Mei-chan no Shitsuji [メイちゃんの執事]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
adorable fluff at its finest. the drama was a stress buster for me. there were eye candies galore and over the top fantasy scenes that only the very rich can ever experience. it was an awesome vicarious experience.
MR. BRAIN
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
My Boss, My Hero [マイボスマイヒロ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
The funniest the silliest and moving jdorama i've watched. Tomoya Nagase is awesome as the yakuza heir turned student. He was so funny and sexy. Koki Tanaka of Kat-tun was a revelation as an actor he can sing and act and dance.NewS Tegoshi Yuya can act but he is prettier than the girls in the series so that kinda disoriented me. I love Tokio's Sorafune the OST of the jdorama.
Nobuta wo Produce [野ブタ。をプロデュース]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Yamapi's laid back and cool acting as Akira shock!!! made me love this drama. Kame was unusually skinny that I got distracted about his role here. Maki's soft beauty was sadly hidden by the messy hair but she was adorable. Friendships that endure especially among outcasts in school is an endearing theme for a drama.
Nodame Cantabile [のだめ カンタビ−レ]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Its a feel good drama from beginning to end.I loved this jdorama.Hiroshi Tamaki is my man. I even bought the manga and the dvd. I can watch it over and over again. Juri Ueno is a darling, she captured the character of Nodame to perfection. Its super crack and the classical music just flows.Great storyline and I can't wait for Part 2.
Oda Nobunaga [織田信長]

Odoru Daisousasen [踊る大捜査線]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I'm speechless. This jdorama a.k.a Bayside Shakedown is an effin golden oldie. It was ueber funny and exciting . It's a fun watch. Now I know why its a cult classic that spawned 5 specials and 4 movies. It's got subtle lessons on ethics and the politics of the system as well as a parody of the Japanese police structure. The cast was impeccable-Oda Yuji,Yanagiba Toshiro, Fukatsu Eri!! I love kick azz in your face police stories with a sense of humor!!! I absolutely love this jdorama and I want to watch all the specials and movies too.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]

rinbukyoku [輪舞曲]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought)
Amazing action packed drama with love thrown in as a sweetener. Intense acting . Captivating plot with a twist. Gangsters and computer programming don't seem to go together so it was a surprise that it worked. Understated acting by Takehanouchi Yutaka as the police detective Nishikima Shou, loved him. Hayami Mokomichi was eye candy even as the sinister playboy fun loving yakuza heir. Choi Ji woo as usual was her beautiful self but seemed lost in Tokyo.Would have liked less of the tear jerker stuff and more of the action. Must have borrowed from the Hongkong hit movie Infernal affair in some of the sub-plots. Had slow moments though at the beginning and towards the end.
ROOKIES [ルーキーズ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I love Kawato sensei. He's always over the top and an emo when it comes to his students. It takes just one person in this world who can give unconditional love to make these delinquents bloom to their potential. Loving the first baseball themed jdorama I've ever watched. It helps that its like ikemen paradise part 2 in this series. And I adore Ichihara Hayato. I've watchedmost of his films and dramas and he is one of the most incredible Japanese actors of his generation.

I endured watching this seishun dorama about jr. high kids only because of Osamu Mukai. The Hey say Jump babies gave it their best and most credible attempt at acting, but I only had eyes for Osamu even if he started out as a baddie.

Shinsengumi [新撰組]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
I'm a Shinsengumi fan, heck I've watched so many jidaigeki about Shinsengumi its coming out of my ears. But seriously this is a great historical drama and a great way to learn about that period in Japan's history. It helped that my favorite Shinsengumi personae were played by kakkoi actors Shingo Katori as Isami Kondo (SMAP forever) , Yoji Yamamoto was a totally gorgeous Hijikata Tsuyushi ( actually he my favorite strategist in the group), Fujiwara Tatsuya was absolutely kawaii as the youngest Okita and the mysterious Saito Hajime gave life to Joe Odagiri's emoless portrayal of this character.

Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Its dark, twisted and sad. A japanese film noir, a different Takuya as Ryo played to perfection. But all I could think of were the lucky ladies ( please note the plural) who got to kiss Takuya in the series!! If dark, passionate, and forbidden love is your cuppa tea, then watch this!!!!
SP [エスピー]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
I couldn't resist watching a Shinichi Tsutsumi and Okada Junichi tandem in an action film. The action though was not fast paced enough for me. But I was fascinated by the story and absolutely enthralled by the beauty of these two men in a non-bishie way!!! I love how the modern and the paranormal in Inoue's intuitive character fused with the sense of justice in Ogata's portrayal of the Chief. And I want more, a part 2, not just a special!!
Stand UP!!
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Stand Up was Nino's drama from beginning to end. It helped that eye candies Yamapi, Oguri Shun and Nari-chan gave life to this coming of age story about horny school boys in search of love.
Strawberry Night [ストロベリーナイト]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Watched Strawberry Nights cause I love detective stories and this one is headlined by a woman ( yey for gender sensitive castings). Loved Shunin or Himekawa san, the ass kicking princess detective with a not so secret secret, leading an all male detective team. More realistic than the Boss , which I loved that delved into the lives of the police misfits. Loving every single gory infused case focused episode of Strawberry Night. And beautiful Takeuchi Yoko rocked the night!

Sushi Oji! [スシ王子!]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
LMAO. I watched this because I was curious about Nakamaru of Kat-tun's first drama and was surprised at how credible he was. DomoKo was hilarious as Sushi Oji in a really slapstick way. The writers managed to weave some sort of esoteric philosophy into sushi preparation that was over the top. Nari-chan was hotter than hot as the younger twin even if he just showed up in the last 3 episodes. I'm never gonna look at sushi the same way again after this drama and I tell people everything I know about sushi I learned from watching Sushi Oji. Can't wait for the Movie. Oh did I mentioned I finished the series in one day?Lol.
Triangle [トライアングル]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Its finally over and Goda can finally look to the future and live his life the way he wants to. I hope he meets someone he can really love cause the events in his life were really tragic and traumatic. But I love how the story developed and how each episode ends with a cliffhanger that makes me look forward to the next. How can so much evil exist. But in the end justice is serve. I'm gonna miss Eguchi Yosuke so much! He's one awesome handsome actor. Main reason for watching Eguchi Ryosuke. Hot older actor, can't get enough of him onscreen. Story is a thriller, kept me on the edge of my seat.
Tsuki no Koibito [月の恋人]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Compelling first episode hooked me into the drama and the powerhouse cast of Kimura Takuya, Shinohara Ryoko, Lin chi Ling. But the drama didn't live up to the expectation though it redeemed itself with the cliche ending. Rensuke the main protagonist life could stand for some sort of metaphor on where Japan is headed economically in th 21st century.

Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
This jdorama should have been titled the Perfect Man, after all Sakurako was in search of the perfect husband.Nanako Matushima must really be Japan's jdorama queen, here she is all charm and smiles as the gutsy flight attendant out to get the richest man around as her husband. I still can't get over the nerdy character of Shinichi Tsutsumi as the brilliant academic Osuke Nakahara, its a long way from New York to a fish stand in Tokyo. Its really Akiko Yada as the other flight attendant who is a good judge of character falling for the man behind the mask.Love the clothes of the characters in the drama. The ending is quiet predictable.
Yasha [夜叉]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
This is a beautiful and touching black science fiction drama, one of the best i've seen of this genre. it has an amazing cutting edge plot and quick paced suspense action driven by intense acting from the drama's cast with superb tight direction. Hideaki Ito's chilling portrayal of the twins was so compelling.Love made all the difference in their upbringing although they were genetically the same. Sting's song Desert Rose featuring Cheb Mami gave the drama an added surreal appeal. This is in my must see list.
Yoshitsune [義経]

My first Japanese taiga and Its awesome. Its history lesson in a movie!!! Takki is too young and too pretty for the role of this great samurai warrior general but then again his charisma was what got me to watching it in the first place.
Yuukan kurabu [有閑倶楽部]
Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)
Otskaresamadeshita!Loved the series and didn't want it to end. I can't wait for a part 2 or even a movie. Rich kids make that bored rich kids sure know how to make their life exciting.I love all the members of Yukan Club, they made me laugh and cry and made me drool and faint. Best episode was 8 when Yoko, Junno and Jin were in drags. They were honto cho kawaii desu, really cute. And Jin Jin Jin, I love this Kat-tun guy so much.He wasn't even acting, he was just being his usual cool self.I want to be Miroku's lollipop. Yoko and Junno outdid themselves as Shisherou and Bidou and the ladies Emi, Minami and Knashii were not only pretty they were perfect in their roles. And there was the added bonus of heartthrobs Koyama Keiichiro and Mike He in episodes 6 and 7 which really rocked my world. The Jin Akanishi factor I have to admit made me watch this drama. I wanted to see more of Jin in dramas, movies, cms anything after that hiatus. I absolutely adore Jin Akanishi and he is a natural in this jdorama so omedetou Jin for taking the best actor award for 2007.
Zenkai Girl [全開ガール]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Zenkai Girl (Full throttle girl) with Aragaki Yui and Nishido Ryo of Kanjani8 and News. What's not to like about this over the top ambitious girl (Wakaba) from some back water town in the boondocks of Japan who aspires to make it big as an international lawyer in the big city lights of Tokyo's elite law firm? Betsu ni (Nothing) except maybe the fact that she's so dense about finding love right under her nose. Everything about her oozed ambition in neon colors until she met former French chef now head cook of a diner in some obscure spot in Tokyo. Yes, I'm talking about you Ryo now called Sota or Sato ( whichever) a single father of a 5 year old boy Pitaro who is not even his biological child. Whoa. And since Wakaba is on probation for 3 months, the firm's head honcho makes her baby sit her 5 year old going on 40 daughter Hinata. Lovely child , a fashionista with lovely hair. The show is a romantic comedy but the real love experts in this drama are the two kids, my eternal OTP! Sure there are complicated love angles and love triangles in the show and intrigue in the law firm and the adults aren't handling it wisely but the kids are the scene stealers. Pitaro and Hinata and Wakaba's middle school self who keeps popping up in the flash back of sorts. And touching scenes between Wakaba and her father. Great acting on everyone's part, though I have to give high fives to the kids who were more than adorable. This gets a rating of 10 golden stars from me.
Zettai Kareshi [絶対彼氏]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
I loved the manga so I'm watching the live action series. Hiro Mizushima is keeping this series alive and kicking, he is awesome as my favorite Soushi Asamoto.omg I can't believe I'm crying over the ending of this robot love story. I loved the manga with its high school setting and was head over heels in love with Soshi Asamoto. Hiro Mizushima was perfect as Soshi, I love this man. Mokomichi was the ideal robot boyfriend, lucky Riiko. I loved the adaptation of the series and its more realistic corporate setting. The ending isn't too far from the manga's. I love how the story developed even if its not true to the original manga. Thanks to the sub group and the upload. I loved it. And it gets a 9 because of Hiro!!!!
