Bara no nai Hanaya [
Interesting story and excellent casting.
Hanzawa Naoki [
Hotaru no Hikari [
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1
JIN Season 2
Continuation from season 1 to tie up the loose ends. A little boring midway, but the ending made up for it. Still a great series.
Last Friends [
Although the last few episodes ended up a bit of an anti-climax to me... but overall, the story was quite interesting and different from the typical Japanese drama. Definitely worth watching.
Legal High [
Legal High Season 2 [
Nagareboshi [
Nice acting all round. Not too heavy... felt that it was just about right (although I did tend to want to kick Aya's brother's character at times...). Nice song as well by Kobukuro.
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [
Zettai Kareshi [

Did a brilliant job in "Sekai"

Arifureta Kiseki [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Slow plot but I quite liked it up until about episode 6 or 7. Then I felt that the story could have proceeded faster. Nevertheless, its nice to watch something that isn't the usual highschool or detective Japanese dramas once in a while.
Attention Please [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Bara no nai Hanaya [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Celeb to Binbo Taro [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
No story line. Illogical. Just a pretty face to look at. Can still finish the series but not worth a second viewing.
Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei [
Rating: 5/10 (Watched)
Terrible. Characters were boring and without depth. Interactions were minimal. Plot was non-existent. Scenes were repetitive and not touching enough. Maybe I'm not cut out to watch medical dramas. Had to force myself to finish this thing. Surprised at the high TV ratings.
Densha Otoko [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Has some really funny moments but can be too draggy during his "internet consultation sessions" where they keep repeating the same things. Misaki's character was rather simple, but who can watch this series and not love "Hermes-san"?
First Kiss [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Galileo [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Gokusen Season 2 [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Too repetitive and the fighting scenes were horrible. Yankumi was fun to watch... but that's about it.
Hanzawa Naoki [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
First 5 episodes was 10/10. Last 5 episodes the novelty started to wear off so ended up closer to 8.5/10
Himitsu no Hanazono [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Hotaru no Hikari [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Fun light-hearted drama. Makes you think about how lucky it is to have someone who you can truly be yourself in front of.
Hotaru no Hikari Season 2 [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
JIN [JIN-仁-]
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Very nice drama. MISIA's ending theme song is also very nice. Too bad there wasn't a probably ending and I believe most viewers feel a bit cheated unless there is going to be a special / movie to tie up the loose ends.
JIN Season 2
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Juunen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite [10
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Nice idea but the execution was a bit lacking. The last two episodes got a bit annoying. Crystal Kay's song was very nice though.
Kiken na Aneki [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Very funny and enjoyable. Of course the plot was not realistic, but this is merely a comedy and if you watch it as such, you'll definitely enjoy the show.
Last Friends [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Compelling storyline that makes you want to find out what is going to happen as soon as possible. Didn't quite like the last two episode's anti-climax kind of pace but guess it was necessary to wrap things up. Also didn't like Masami's character. These two things were the only thing that stopped it from being a 10/10.
Legal High [
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
Legal High Season 2 [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Liar Game [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Mei-chan no Shitsuji [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
So-so... but better than the other dramas i've given 7 to before. So...
Nagareboshi [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Nice acting all round. Not too heavy... felt that it was just about right (although I did tend to want to kick Aya's brother's character at times...). Nice song as well by Kobukuro.
Nodame Cantabile [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Not bad, but overrated. Nodame was really cute though.
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Not particularly original but still fun to watch. Aragaki looks cute and pretty here, much better than her boring character in Code Blue.
Rich Man, Poor Woman [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Ryusei no Kizuna [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Not bad but nothing spectacular either. Nice song from Mika Nakashima but her character is redundant.
Sapuri [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
The story started quite slow and the relationships and characters are not 100% convincing but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. I'm sure I'll give at least an 8 if I understood Japanese because the CM slogans didn't make as much sense or probably lost its impact when translated to English. A happily ever after ending... but like all fairy tales, it leave you wondering... "will it really work out as time goes on?"
Satomi Hakenden [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Was really bored for the first part... felt that things happened too slow and half the show seemed to be merely introducing characters who you know were kind of just making up the numbers. Nevertheless, the later parts picked up a little so saved it from being a complete waste of time. Ayase Haruka looked particularly out of place with the hairstyle and I was kind of disappointed to find out that Nakama Yukie only had a small role in the show.
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
Shiawase ni Narou yo
Rating: 8/10
Nothing special in the plot... but surprisingly was still enjoyable as a light drama. So I still think it is above average.
Shitsuren Chocolatier [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Slow Dance [
Rating: 9/10 (Watched)
The interaction between Tsumabuki and Fukatsu was extremely funny.
Sunao ni Narenakute [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Watchable but nothing special. Around 7.5/10 in my opinion.
Taiho shichauzo [
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Liked the friendship between the two main characters. Disliked the action scenes and the disjointed story line. Mainly watched it because of Misaki but in the end found that Sachie Hara performed better in this series.
Tiger & Dragon [

Tsuki no Koibito [
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
Horrible script... only bearable character was Maemi san, the rest of them don't really seem to make sense... Such a waste of the cast.
Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu [
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Enjoyable but last few episodes a bit draggy.
Yama Onna Kabe Onna [
Rating: 3/10
Forced myself and managed to watch about 5 episodes. Couldn't finish this pointless drama. Bleh.
