Coolsmurf's drama votes (6)
Ichi Ritoru no Namida [1リットルの涙]
Well-written plot with great acting from all involved, nothing more can be said, except more than 1 litres of tears have been shed around the world who have watched this!
Kamisama mou sukoshi dake [神様、もう少しだけ]
this was my first ever drama that i watched and i have never regretted my choice. the story was very dark and showed how people's perspective is changed the moment after learning they are HIV positive. throughout this drama, you will see kyoko character trying to focus on her life ambitions instead of her disease and her relationship with kaneshiro character was simply heartwrenching. they really made the show look very real and coupled with excellent instrumental music makes it even better while watching it. I highly recommend watching it but it's very sad!
Pride [プライド]
nice drama, must-watch..enjoyable..
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ]
touching story, been ages since i felt that, definitely ranks as one of my top 5 now.
Taiyou no uta [タイヨのうた]
Have to admit that I watched this because of Erika Sawajiri, and the story wasn't that good if you compared it with the movie version which had better songs and simpler storyline which worked. On it's own, the drama's oki but there were some unecessary sub-plots which dragged it down
Trick Season 3 [トリック3]
very quirky drama, liked the chemistry between the 2 leads and the stories are so believable until they break it as its always a ruse afterall

Coolsmurf's artiste votes (3)
Ayase Haruka [綾瀬はるか]
she was inch-perfect and flawless in her role in Crying out for Love in the center of the World.
Fukada Kyoko [深田恭子]
she is cute and kawaii
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉]
he just looks intended for any role he is in, looks like playing a role in his real life. might be similar in his acting style for most dramas but he is good at it nevertheless. the icon of japanese drama.

Fugoh Keiji [富豪刑事]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
plenty of costume changes, storyline as its a story by story basis, some are good some are pure insane. all in all, a pretty nice drama to watch nevertheless
Gokusen [ごくせん]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought & Watched)
Wacky series of its own kind. Hilarious from start to finish. all the characters were so life-like, exaggerated it might be, but it was worth the time to watch it. Never a boring moment to be found here.
Gokusen Season 2 [ごくせん2]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
pretty much a continuation of the first series with a new set of students and secondary sub-teachers. somehow its not boring to see it again, wacky stuff once more although a tad exaggerated at times.
Good Luck !! [グッドラック!!]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
pretti cool drama although theres really nothing much you can do with a pilot drama really, but the interaction between the characters were interesting!
Hero
Rating: 7/10 (Bought & Watched)
a rather cool dorama with kimura acting way cool as always. the supporting cast also very comical in the way they work. some of the stories were brilliant while some were so poorly scripted.

Never really expected something to top Sekai no Chuusin ai no Sakebu, but after watching this, this really topped it! Great potrayal by Erika Sawajiri of Aya who never gives up from the moment she learnt about her illness. The plot was from a real-life diary and it was written perfectly for the drama even with a fictional character like Asou Haruto. The pacing never lagged and everything went by flawelessly and you really feel for Aya in almost every episode. the scene at the bridge between Aya and Haruto where she said "Bye Bye!" and Haruto could only hold on to her wheelchair without saying anything, that was very well-done. Definitely getting the DVD set.

very pulsating drama when it comes to the short hockey matches, simply magic. apart from that, the rest of the plot fits well with it, all the roles were played to perfection. great drama.
Rasen [らせん]
rinbukyoku [輪舞曲]
Rating: 6/10 (Watched)
still watching, so far as been brilliant that is until the middle when it sorta becomes unreal and i was forcing myself to finish it. Yutaka was the only saving light.
Ring: Saishusho [リング 最終章]
Rookie!
Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu [世界の中心で、愛をさけぶ]
Rating: 10/10 (Watched)
one of the da best pure love story, great acting from the 2 leads and the storyline is simple yet very very touching, every episode seemed to have a meaning to it...
Shiawase ni Naritai [幸せになりたい]
Rating: 8/10 (Watched)
Regardless of anything, i have been impressed with the drama as i am drawn to how television production is all about. Kyoko Fukada acting for once i have to say, its not exaggerated. For once, its a pure acting role from her i personally feel.

Taiyou no uta [タイヨのうた]
Rating: 7/10 (Watched)
Not too bad a drama if if had weaned out some uneccessary sub-plots which looked just out of place. the chemistry between the leads were average as somehow i feel there was something lacking between them

Taiyou no uta [タイヨのうた]
Could have been better [Rating: 7/10]
On its own, it would be considered just ok. if compared with 1 litres of tears or the movie version of taiyou no uta, it goes down several notches. the songs by erika was good but if compared with yui, it wasn't comparable. just it's luck to have been shown right after the movie...it had too much to fulfil the expectations of the watching public which explains the low ratings. too much unecessary sub-plots...as compared to the movie which focused on the 2 leads instead...and the music of course...
