GTO [麻辣教師]
How cool is this series! I love it. The Special and Movie were a nice follow-up also.
Konna koi no hanashi [こんな恋のはなし]
I can't say enough about this drama. It was very touching and interesting all the way through the series. That acting, directing, and story were perfect and the music stayed with me as well. This is certainly one of my favorite viewing experiences of all time which includes drama's, tv and movies.
Kou kou kyoushi [高校教師]
Fantastic acting, I was blown away. This drama takes you through every emotion. I can see why it has spawn so many copies. Great Great Show.
Last Christmas [ラストクリスマス]
Excellent! Akiko Yada and Oda Yuji are fantastic together.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
I thought it got off to a slow start and was not sure I was going to be able to really get into the show. I am glad I continued to watch. It turned into an amazing romantic drama. Great music too.
Love generation [ラブジェネレーション]
Great Chemistry between Kimura Takuya and Matsu Takako. Junna Risa also gave a really good performance. I loved this drama. Great story fun characters made this an emotional roller coaster of a series.
Sensei shiranaino? [先生知らないの?]
Similar to GTO but with younger students and different problems. Really enjoyed the acting and the relationships among the teachers, principal, and his daughter.
Star no Koi [スタアの恋]
Fantastic dorama. Great acting by a top cast. I can't imagine how it could have been better.
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】]
A very touching show. I could watch this over and over. So well acted, and a very touching story.

Fujiwara Norika [藤原紀香]
I really gained so much respect for her great acting ability after seeing Sutaa no Koi. She is fantastic.
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉]
Very talented. Terrific in Long Vacation, Good Luck, Pride, Hero... The list just keeps on going. You can always count on a solid acting performance from him.
Kusanagi Tsuyoshi [草?剛]
I really enjoyed him in Sensei Shiranaino, Narita Rikon, and Sutaa no Koi. Very natural actor.
Kyono Kotomi [京野ことみ]
Wish to see her in more drama's.
Matsushima Nanako [松嶋菜々子]
Nanako is amazing! My favorite artist period. She has a rare beauty, it is a mature beauty even when she was really young (of course at 32 she is still young) but she has a certain radiance she brings to the screen that is really hard to put in words. You can tell she is a beautiful person iside as well as out too.
Oda Yuji [織田裕二]
Great Actor good in everything has been in.
Uchiyama Rina [内山理名]
Fantastic in everything she is in. Even when she is cast as a supporting actress she steals the show. Look forward to see any new Rina Drama's.
Ueto Aya [上戸彩]
I can't wait to see her in more drama's very talented. Excllent in My Little Chef, Song of the Sugar Cane Fileds, and a couple other thing's I have seen her in.
Yada Akiko [矢田亜希子]
Fantastic actress!!! Loved in everything I have seen her in so far. I hope she gets more and more lead roles.

3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei Season 6 [3年B組金八先生]
Sugoi!!! [Rating: 10/10]
Tetsuya Takeda is back! Love this series. Aya Ueto and the rest of the cast were all fantastic. Drama, and Comedy all rolled up into a great series. I wish that I had a teacher and classmates like this.
GTO [麻辣教師]
Just plain cool [Rating: 10/10]
This series is just so cool. A teacher who was in a motorcycle gang and is a martial arts expert does anything he can for his students without thought of the consequences. I wish I had such a teacher. Good theme song too.
Hitonatsu no Papa e [ひと夏のパパへ]
a little disappointed [Rating: 6/10]
I was a little disappointed. Aya was o.k., I like Sakurai Sachiko but they did not give her much of a role in this. Kohinata Fumiyo was pretty good in this probably the best part of the show. The story never developed very much although the concept was decent. I'm glad KTSF played it, it was worth watching but nothing to get too excited about.
Keiji Ichiro [刑事★イチロー]
Keiji Ichiro [Rating: ?/10]
I am still watching. Not a bad drama so far seems like it has more potential than it has delivered so far. Cast seems o.k. the actor who plays Ichiro (Kato Haruhiko) seems talented, as do the supporting cast. The theme song does not really seem like it fits well with the drama which is pretty rare from my experience.
Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho [こちら本池上署]
Pretty Good [Rating: 8/10]
I thought it was a fun little show. I would recomend it to a friend. It follows the popular Manga pretty well.
Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho 2003 [こちら本池上署]
Fun [Rating: 8/10]
Drama/Comedy based on a popular Manga series. This is not a serious drama it is goofy comedy well done. There are very few serious moments mostly about a chief who non conventional in his methods and police force who try to solve crimes but more importantly take care of the community. If you like a little light hearted silly comedy as I do you will probably like this show.
Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho Season 3 [こちら本池上署 3]
Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho 3 [Rating: 8/10]
Very similar to the first 2 seasons. Light hearted police story with an entertaining taleneted cast. A little corny but fun. This season the focus changed away from Mizuno Maki's story and Ikeuchi Mansaku was hardly in it at all too. The main focus seemed to be on the new charachter played by Murata Takehiro.
Koi Seyo Otome [恋セヨ乙女]
Koi Seyo Otome [Rating: 8/10]
I really enjoyed this series. This was the first time I have seen Hitomi Manaka and she did a really good job but I think Sakai Wakana really stole the show. She was hilarious. Not a serious drama just an entertaining show good for a few laughs.
Kougen e Irasshai [高原へいらっしゃい!]
pleasent [Rating: 7/10]
It is a pleasent story nothing exciting. Some very good acting. I am glad I saw it.
Last Christmas [ラストクリスマス]
Wow!!! [Rating: 10/10]
I saw this on t.v. without English Subs so a little was lost on me but I understood enough to get buy. Akiko Yada was lovely and did a great job, and Oda Yuji was fantastic as always. Great supporting cast too! This was a nice traditional love story drama but with a few twists to keep it fresh.
Musashi [武蔵]
Taiga Dorama...Excellent [Rating: 10/10]
Very interesting story, Great casting Ichikawa Shinnosuke, Tsustsumi Shinichi, Yonekura Ryoko, and of course Uchiyama Rina were all fantastic. The rest of the cast was also great. Combine the acting with the beautiful scenary and you can't ask for more than that.
My Little Chef
Very talented acting [Rating: 8/10]
I really enjoyed seeing the great acting performances by Akiko Yada, Aya Ueto, and Abe Hiroshi. I hope this means Akiko Yada will start to see more lead roles. The story was loose but enjoyable, the food looked great and the music fit the show well. I was pleased with this show as it was original and warm.
Sakura [さくら]
Sakura [Rating: 6/10]
A decent show. The plot is based around a young woman named Sakura who is a 3rd generation Japanese American living in Hawaii. Sakura moves to Japan to teach which allows her the chance to learn about her ancestry. She ends up living in a very traditional Japanese style house with a large family of interesting characters. The family business is making candles. Sakura learns about the wonders of the beautiful Hida area of Japan while having various adventures as she relentlessly tries to help everyone she meets with their problems. The series is guilty of some rea overacting but it is done in a fun goofy way. I enjoyed. It is a bit long though.
Shinsengumi [新撰組]
Excellent [Rating: 10/10]
Fantastic Taiga Drama! I think Katori Shingo was Excellent as Kondo, I also really enjoyed Sato Koichi as Serizawa, Yuka, Yamamoto Taro, and Tabata Tomoko among others in this great story. Some of the pacing was strange it seems the battles were only a side story or cliff note the main focus seemed to be the people and their intereaction with each other and the people of Kyoto. I still think I prefer Musashi but this is also very nice.
Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ【大和撫子】]
My favorite [Rating: 10/10]
I love this Drama. I wish I could give it an 11. It is easy to care for the characthers played by Matsushima Nanako, Yada Akiko, and Tsutsumi Shinichi. Of course everone else was great too. The story is so well written and each episode leaves you wanting more. This is my favorite Drama. I am not sure why it's not number one in the voting.
Yoshitsune [義経]
So far so good [Rating: ?/10]
I am still watching but I am impressed so far with the acting. Still have not seen much in the way of action. The drama has the feeling that it is building to something but so far has not really delivered much intensity. I felt the same about Shinsengumi. Both feature emphasis on personal relationships and motivations for actions rather than action itself. Still it is interesting.
