It is a hilarious drama and touching one too. Tsuyoshi and Kutaro are a good pair. Even though it's a crow, they have chemistry between them. And a very good depiction of the innermost feelings of orphans. The children actors also did very well. Not too superficial either. There are times when you feel touched inside. |

I think it's a wonderful period drama. Initially, I bought the drama feeling apprehensive cos I bought it for Takuya. But after watching it, I changed my mind. It's a marvellous production because it's not boring at all and keeps you in anticipation throughout the drama. There's also wonderful performance by Takuya and the other actors. And my favourite scene got to be when Oda Nobugana meets his in-law. They never spoke a word throughout the scene but the intensity of that scene is enough without any words. A must-see for people who thinks that Takuya is nothing but a pretty face. He is completely transformed in this character -- mannerisms and walking. | Virgin Road [バージンロード]

I think this is one of the better dramas around. Even though it is rather old, I think Sorimachi looks best in this one. And I like the storyline about how the 2 of them fall in love. At the last part when the female lead thought that Sorimachi had died, She felt so upset but yet did not cry, I felt very sad deep inside me as well. Thank goodness for the great ending eventually. |
