Eri-chan in her pigtails-and-ballet-lessons days (we all went through them). 3 points if you can spot her:

She's the cute thing in red slippers doing the grand écart and showing she's still got all her nine fingers.

Fast forwarding to July 2007.

Caught in rehearsal at the Shinjuku Sun Mall Theater, tackling a dramatic role in the play Tokyo Sereson DX. (It opens on the 11th.)

It was a slow but expected death (now official). According to their agency Amuse, Boystyle is a group no more. We'll miss you, girls. You were a hellova bunch.

Looks like NHK finally decided to release Kaze no Haruka on DVD. But that won't be before the end of September. And it's only Part 1.

Me again.

Yes, very slow death. They hadn't done anything in 2 years. But they left a big void. Now they call it the Ice Age of girls groups.

This one is my favourite: Kaze ni Natte.

I can see that. It's become a manufacture of singing bimbos and sexy school girls. I kinda like those goofy Halcali girls, though. They were also Boystyle's classmates at Hinode high school, along with Kashii Yuu (Eri-chan's teacher in My Boss, My Hero), Yanagisawa Nana and Sawai Myuu. They were also a class ahead of Aragaki Yui (Eri-chan's best friend in My Boss, My Hero), and a class behind Ueno Juri (also with Amuse agency) and Sawajiri Erika. Doramaland sure is a small world.

Hinode has a pretty nice alumni: Nakama Yukie, Yada Akiko, Yamada Yuu, Gotou Maki...

Pretty nice alumni. It think Horikoshi High School has even more famous students.

Someone just posted Boystyle's Mirai PV on You Tube:

Thanks, IZUMIgrad. Never saw the PV before. Sounds a bit different from their shorter, live version. Love that song, though.

I checked the Horikoshi website. Their list of graduates reads like a who's-who in Doramaland.

Eri-chan's got a nice new website:

She's got also a nice line up of DVD releases: My Boss, My Hero came out in April, Good Job comes out on August 24 (NHK just had a 3rd broadcast this week), Sexy Voice and Robo on September 20 and Kaze no Haruka on September 21.

Then she's got two movies coming out in December: Little DJ with Kamiki Ryunosuke and Fukada Mayuko, and Tsubaki Sanjuro with Oda Yuji, Suzuki Anne and Matsuyama Kenichi (girls, no screaming please).

PR for her new drama Hari-kei (with Nakamura Tomoya and Motai Masako). Starts October 13 on NTV at the impossible time of 12:50 A.M. (!?!):

The official website with the trailer:

An article in Japanese. An article in English. An article in Latin.

Left to right (as far as I can recognize them) and surrounding Shimizu Kurimi (winner of Amuse Agency nationwide auditions): Eri-chan, Koide Keisuke, Ueno Juri, Hiraoka Yuta, Kamiki Ryunosuke (corrections welcome).

Pretty in pink: a promo for Sexy Voice and Robo:

What kind of outfit and what kind of performance!? (We're invited to find out.)

Happy B-Day from Harikei co-stars.

In Little-DJ with Kamiki Ryunosuke (and a spare pen). The movie opens in December.

Tsubaki Sanjuro: fists up in a man's world (left), facing Oda Yuji and Suzuki An.
