I first saw Yui in Aoi Tori and was immediately struck by her beauty and acting ability...what a tragic figure she played.
It took watching two episodes of Kekkon Dekinai Otoko before I realized this was the same actress...her beauty and acting have matured wonderfully.
Good photos of her are surprisingly hard to find...

Yui and the rest of the cast at the press conference of the upcoming movie, Tennen Kokekko, which opens in theatres next month.

The movie is based on the shojo manga of the same name by Kuramochi Fusako and directed by "Linda Linda Linda" director Yamashita Nobuhiro.

It is a story of first-love, revolving around Soyo (Kaho), the only student in her year at a rural branch school with a total roll of six, and Osawa (Okada Masaki), a handsome transfer student from Tokyo.

Yeah, she has a really nice smile and wonderful dimples... I thought she was much prettier than he co-star, Kuninaka Ryoko. Victory! Peace!

She also won the same award for Aoi Tori, ten years ago

Ooooh, hehe. I just love Yui's soft features and sweet smile. Her hairstyle in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko suits her perfectly. And her eyes just sparkles!

LOL, I figured you'd post here after I read your comments in the Kekkon thread...

Interestingly, Enna didn't like Yui-chan's 'do in the drama.......

hehe. Well, I guess preferences differ but I think her hairstyle fit her because she was playing an older woman. Her beauty is now more mature (ie. her features are softer, and face rounder), so long hair probably wouldn't work. Perhaps Enna wanted something more wacky, or probably something more 'stylish' like Uchida Yuki in Bambino but that wouldn't be consistent with Yui's Hayasaka character.

No you missed my point entirely. I know her hairstyle suited the look they were going for as a more mature doctor, with a boring lifestyle, in Kekkon. There is just something about her that bothers me. Even in the recent pics that were posted here, there is a look in her eyes I don't like. I can't tell you why I feel this way, I just do. We all can't be big fans of the same celebrities, but that doesn't make my opinions wrong. So enjoy Yui-chan to your hearts content and leave my name out of it. Sweat

Oh sorry, I didn't read any of your posts so I just drew conclusions from bmwracer. Didn't mean to offend you in any way.

Yikes. Sweat

I was just reiterating what you said in the Kekkon thread... There's no reason to snap at either of us, much less bakafool. Sweat
