I used to think that anime was different from american cartoons because it was for "a variety of different age groups". But really it's not. It's mostly for kids. Which is ok. When I watched it, I really did enjoy it. The occasional series I still really enjoy. But I've switched to J-dorama. THe stories are more related to my life (i don't care so much about 12 year olds in love), and it's much more mature. It also doesn't seem to be quite as formulaic as anime (although jdorama is really formulaic).

kook05, hikaru no go is an excellent series. i also read the manga. it follows very closely to it...with a few extra stuff here and there. Full Metal Panic! is another excellent anime in my opinion. liked it a lot, the drawing, the stories and also the music.

My favorite ones are INUYASHA, EVANGELION, HIKARU NO GO, ONEGAI TEACHER, PRINCE OF TENNIS, RUROUNI KENSHIN, HUNTER X HUNTER, PRINCESS MONONOKI & ONE PIECE are okay too.......^_^ By the way, there is a ANIME EXPO coming up at L.a, but too bad I can't go.........>_<!!! (CRYING)~~~

yo kook05 Hikaru no Go is excellent, at first i thought "What the hell an anime about a stupid Board Game i never heard of?", but as i kept watching it i was hooked like a fish. I own all the manga for it and watched all the anime too. i would highly recommand it, also a lot of good music since its done by Avex trax

i've started waching the first season and its quite nice. If you like funny animes, I absolutely recommend AZUMANGA DAIOH! I've watched it more than twice already, the whole series. dont think its offered in bittorrent but its definitely out in kazaa.

Haibane renmei... i dled from bittorrent, unitedanime fansubs. Dunno their site so cant help u out there... azumanga is out on bittorrent too. Quite sometime already since its release. Haibane has also been out for sometime.

There's supposedly an anime/videogame exhibition in Little Tokyo this weekend (8/17)... Be there! I just got into the whole anime thing and the Studio Ghibli stuff looks to be in a class all by itself... It's clearly better than the stuff that Disney is putting out nowadays...

ALL the episodes I have hehe Marmalade Boy -- I bought this on video and treasure it! Kodomo No Omocha -- the issues in this anime is thought provoking and made me cry Fruits Basket -- This one made me abit weepy too! Hikaru no Go -- too bad they stopped the anime. Now I gotta find more of the manga >_< Juuni Kokki -- I used to hate the heroine, she got on my nerve with her whines
