Pardon me for starting something unrelated to Japanese entertainment, but with occassional threads on K-drama, I though perhaps members can share or recommend their fave K-pop musicians.

I don't know an awful about Kpop artists, tend to shy away from favorites like Shinhwa, JTL, BoA and folks. Too popular for me (?) I guess.

Currently, I am soooo into this new band called Loveholic. They are awesome (I think) - they do modern rock and I love their etheral tunes. Here's their site: www.loveholic.ko.kr There are sample music clips from their album.

Others that I really really like are Toy, Lucid Fall, Yiruma.
The more mainstream ones will be UN, J-Walk, Park Hyo Shin, Hareem, Kangta, Kim Hyun Chul, just to name a few.... They aren't bad at all, but that's just me. Different people have differing music tastes.

Love to hear from anyone else to share their faves, so I'll get to know more about kpop too...

wow im suprised u didnt mention fly to the sky there.. theyre pretty much popular in the kpop world.. of course im a major Fanny fan desu and 2shai, boa, brown eyes... and so on yeh i like j-walk too.. well not sure if im allowed to put site advertisements but if u'd like to join on a kpop forum u can pm me and ill give u the link

kangta now have new band called 'S' right?...kangta and hye sung (sorry if i write it wrong) from shinwa...and the other one...i dunno the name..but quite handsome...hehe...
and if im not mistaken...min woo from shinwa is olready have solo album too right?

and again MixxDreamer ..... i like BROWN EYES the most from other kpop...
there're just.........great!superb!their voice their songs!!

but brown eyes member now are olready split out...and each of them have their own album....the brown eyed soul and....the other one have his solo album...i forgot his name..

My first kpop experience was S.E.S. I heard Dreams Come True while watching a Fushigi Yuugi AMV and got interested in this group. After digging some more I found all these other kpop artist and my favourite among them is Park Ji Yoon.

Also, I have to say that kdrama OST are top notch and come highly recommended.

I like some k-pop/rock. i listen to WAX and Cherry Filter. You jeen is a star.

Got interested in her when I watched a music video of hers, it happened to be song which was played in My Tutor Friend, "Sung in shik"? Pretty good tune. I've forgotten her, hehe. Got over pretty fast.

I like S and BoA. My Shine We Are poster of BoA came in the other day and it's cool, the picture of it on Yesasia didn't do it any justice The letters are really glittery. I watch KMC and like a lot of the songs on there, like "Smile" but I can't remember who sings it I also really like the Summer Scent OST and SM Town's 2003 Christmas CD.

I guess my first taste of K-Pop was when I watched the some Korean music shows and saw H.O.T. and DJ DOC. I kind of liked their music but never got anything because I didn't really know where to buy it.

I then watched All About Eve Korean TV drama.

I really liked the song True Love. I went to a Korean music store in K Town and bought the All About Eve soundtrack.

I then asked what person or group sang the song True Love. The girl pointed me to FinKL. I saw Hyolee and Yuri and decided to buy some of their CD's

I then remembered H.O.T and DJ DOC and bought some of their songs.

I mostly buy OSTs now. Summer Scent is good. Also got Upon the Greenfields. My favorite is Snowman though. I think every song is good on that one.

Yay, another Summer Scent fan!! What songs are your favorite? I like #s 2, 4, and Serenade. Do you know who sings Missing You? I like her voice.

I like listening to K-Pop. I watch "Pop in Seoul" all the time. My faves are Park Yong Ha, Se7en, Lee Hyori, Jtl, etc.

...mixxu-chan!!!....yup yup yup same here...same here.. brown eyed soul is my fav album too...but actually i like all their albums...already a year album...reason for breathing..and brown eyed soul 1st album....and yeah me to...when i listening to it i never skip any tracks...cool ne...
and now im planning to get the solo album from...stupid me i forgot his name for other brown eyes member beside na ul...

Same favorites as yours. Nope...don't know who sings Missing You. Let me know if you find out.

That new KPOP boy group Dong Bang Shigi is good. I used there song "HUG" to serenade a girl last Friday.

my favorite korean band is DO BANG SHIN GI and CLICK-B

i love Click-b .. they rock ^_^

not a band, but yoo seung jun.

only other korean music I like is 1Tym, G.O.D., Jinusean, and Drunken Tiger.

Koyote is my favorite. They're cool.
