After his breakthrough role two years ago in the drama Hana Kimi, Johnny's member Ikuta Toma has been quickly moving up the ranks. Not only has he tried his hands at filming movies this year, he even did a photo shoot for lifestyle magazine an an. The semi-nude shoot is titled The Complete Sex Manual. Currently 25 years old, Ikuta had been working out at the gym since last summer to build up his physique. In order to complement the theme, he will be delving into discussions on his own outlook of sex.
The new issue will be on sale April 14th in Japan.

Toma Ikuta to star in movie "Grasshopper"
Ikuta Toma will be starring in the new movie "Grasshopper" directed by Takimoto Tomoyuki which will be shown in cinemas this autumn. The movie which is based on the same-titled novel by Isaka Kotaro and had accumulated sales of 1.2 million units to date, features Ikuta as Suzuki, a junior high school teacher who turns to the underworld to take revenge for his girlfriend killed during a mass murder of random people through a fake traffic accident. This will be the second time that Ikuta and Takimoto are working together since the movie "Nou Otoko" which was shown last year. Co-stars include Asano Tadanobu who plays Kujira, a professional killer who forces his target to the edge and gets them to commit suicide and Hey! Say! JUMP's Yamada Ryosuke who plays Semi, a professional killer who specialises in using a knife to kill his targets.

Toma Ikuta to star in new movie "Sensei"
Ikuta Toma and Hirose Suzu will be involved in a forbidden romance between a teacher and his student for the new movie "Sensei!" (Teacher) which will be shown during autumn 2017. The movie which is based on the same-titled manga by Kawahara Kazune that was serialised in Bessatsu Margaret between 1996 and 2003 and had sold more than 5.7 million copies to date, features Ikuta as a world history teacher Ito Kousaku who seems aloof on the surface but treats his students very well and thinks a lot for them. Upon interacting with Ito, his student Shimada Hibiki (Hirose) falls in love with him and confesses her feelings for him. However, Ito is hardly moved by this as he had grown to distrust women due to his last breakup. Nonetheless, Hibiki's love finally moves him and the two of them begin a forbidden romance as they grapple with the tough circumstances they are in.
As Ikuta had worked with the director Miki Takahiro before in the 2012 movies "Bokura ga ita", this is the first time in 5 years that he is appearing in another romance movie. The script will be written by Okada Mari who was responsible for the anime, novel and movie versions of "Ano hi mita hana no namae wo bokutachi wa mada shiranai" and "Kokoro ga sakebitagatterunda". In preparation for the filming, Hirose had to undergo more than 1.5 months of training in archery as Hibiki is a member of the archery club.
Ikuta commented that he is looking forward to working with Hirose for the first time and hopes to be able to play his role well. As for Hirose, she feels a bit shy about acting in such a love story but will try hard to convey her character's love for Ito-sensei.

Toma Ikuta to star in NTV Fall 2019 drama
Toma Ikuta will star in the NTV Fall 2019 drama "Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai".
Ikuta plays Mitsuru Kishibe. After college, he opened up a coffee related business, but it failed. Since then, he hasn't even tried to find a new job and has moved back home living with his mother.
His life suddenly changes, because of his older sister and her family. Her home is undergoing renovation and she moves her family into their mother's home temporarily. She insists that he is avoiding reality with his current way of life. She also blames her mother for allowing him to live in his current state. She pushes him to become independent.
