I've seen the scan yuckie posted.Seems like they're using the same room as the one in season 1,the bed as well. What I am worried about is how much the writers are going to add to the story.Because the original one is about 20+ mins per episode but season 2 will be about 40+ mins per episode(minus commercials).I'm afraid it'd be,as the Chinese idiom goes,'drawing legs to a snake'.

The writers are the same as the original right? I think the new season is in good hands. The same minds are the ones in charge of the expansion of the prime-time version so I'm sure it'll be in the same vein as the original. I hope the new directors will manage to convey the same awesome atmosphere as well.

Sho's doing his crash diet again for the sake of the role. He was really skinny in the latest Shukudai-kun. Skin and bones Pat Pat Pat

From the 1st episode, as I thought, it is less dark than the original^^

And since the major plot is pretty much the same with the original's first episode, with some twist here and there... somehow I don't feel as excited anymore in following the story. They just basically varied the story. But for those who hasn't watch the original, maybe you can enjoy this drama to the max.

Sho acted his very own portrayal of the host, instead of imitating the original one. He did pretty good, but I can't help to think... ahh, the host in the original somehow shines more XD

I really like Yokoyama's Honma character as the antagonist though, so far, I don't have any complains on his portrayal. Probably bcoz the original didn't shine that much either.

Kinda disappointed they didn't cast the same GUIDE guy from the original.

But anyway, this is just the first episode. I wasn't too impressed with the original's first episode too. So I really hope it'll get better and better^^

Will definitely watch second episode!! I hope there will be titleback sequence in Ep2.

The ratings are out! 14%

My review: I prefer the first season pilot more. I have no problem with the leads (they did ok.. just passable) but feel the guest (Aikawa Sho as the singer) not as interesting and cliche. The first contestant in the original was much more appealing with his back-story and character interpretation.
As a whole I think most of the first season fans will be disappointed but for those who's watching this for the first time will love it.

My rate for the pilot: 5.5/10
A pretty low score but it was a disappointment. I hope they'll make it up for the next episode. The last scene was very hot..

Episode 2 subbed by Stormy is ready!
http://community.livejournal.com/stormy_team/69625.html
Dancing Dancing Dancing
I'm over with my disappointments and will enjoy MC Kamiyama spazztastic dance and cries of pain!

To those who are watching, what's your opinion on Yoko's performance?
He is very smexy but I feel that he simplifies Honma evilness thus the character lost his depth. Its very apparent he's up to no good.
I hope they'll include scenes of him training Kamiyama to become the MC or how Kamiyama was picked to become the MC. I stopped watching the first season up to episode 9 so I'm not sure if they did include that or not.

I thought that's how they built up the character in Season 1 as well, until that big twist in the final 2 episodes where viewers got the shock that

i planned on not highlighting the spoiler but was spoiled as I was quoting Sweat

I felt more for the producer in Season 1 than Honma. He's much more complicated and subtle but never lacking in charisma, while the way Honma acts, especially how he mocks Saejima (Maya Miki) was quite in-your-face. He's taking a different approach to the character and it worked but... something is lacking and I can't put a finger on what it is Head Scratch

Shocked The spoiler. Hopefully they'll retain the same plot.

If they do keep the same plot I have big doubts that the cast could deliver
(the last 3 episodes were just Applaud for me and that was because of the acting ability of the cast) Well maybe I'll pick this drama up after finishing LOVE GAME or something,,
P.S where that hell is the Crazy dream chance dancing, kinda expected that from this version but wth

I hope the ending for Honma won't be the same. It would just be too depressing to watch.

I love Sho, but Nino or Ohno would make a better Kamiyama if they wanted to stick with an Arashi cast.

that reminds me to watch non-arashified doramas like Love Shuffle, Shiroi Haru and Rinjo hehe

It's not that Sho is awfull.. he's doing ok. Just OK.
Maybe it's because he is acting as a cheeky MC, which he is in real life, and the dorkiness is very SHO, like the way he was being a dork with Arashi. It is especially confusing for me since I'm very particular about acting, a Sho-fan and a fan of the 1st season Bang Head
I certainly will not finish the 1st season BEFORE finishing the 2nd season just to help me enjoy watchin Sho attempting to act every week. Nut Beaten

OT but I can't wait for MR BRAIN as well Mr Green

I don't know about you guys but I think season 2 is boring. It just doesn't grab me.It might be because of the length of the drama being about twice that of season 1 that causes it to seem so slow to me.Sakurai Sho looks a lot better than Katagiri Jin but as the host,Katagiri Jin wins hands down.He irritates but amuses at the same time whereas Sakurai Sho seems too cheeky and predictable for me. As for the ending,I doubt it would be very much different from season 1 judging by the similarities in the episodes up till now.I wouldn't expect the reasons why the contestants are chosen to be different as well. The only difference might probably be that all these happened in a camping trip while in season 1 it happened in a house.

nah.. i think it wouldn't be so boring if we hadn't watched the 1st season.
I think Sho did good but Katagiri Jin is just a superior actor. Have to give props to Sho though... he has improved a lot. I'm just annoyed that things are getting repetitive. What's happening in every episode:

Questions to Season 1 viewers. Did they explain how the MC got the job and did they show/explain how the producer train the MC? Please hide it under a spoiler if you're answering. Thank you.

I watched the first two episodes of the new Quiz Show and I think Sho is doing a good job. I like the funny/rude comments he makes, haha. I feel like I'm watching an actual show with the way he reacts to everything. I'm just hoping that more is added and the episodes don't start to follow the exact same pattern.

I went back to watch a few minutes of the original Quiz Show, but the host completely threw me off because he was way too crazy. Beaten

Thanks! Mr Green

It would be interesting if they could expand a bit on that for this season.

There's also something different in Ep4 which didn't emerge in Season 1, so we could be expecting a different twist this time around.

OK.. so I thought TQS2 (TQS Golden) is an alternate universe storyline (i.e: Mukodono and Mukodono 2003). Mainly because the plot and contestants are way too similar to the first season, it just didn't make sense for it to be THAT coincidental. Damn writers playing us like a fool.

That said, Episode 6 is a must see. Brilliantly played.
Episode 5 was great too. Is there a soft-subber for this series?

Sho Sakurai has improved A LOT. He did really well Mr Green
