Synopsis
This series revolves around a group of peculiar detectives in a new division created to fight against an increase in atrocious crimes. Osawa Eriko is a beautiful career woman who has just returned from training in the U.S. and is appointed as the "boss" of this division. But despite her intelligence and capabilities, she can never understand a man's heart, so she remains unable to find a husband. In fact, her assignment in the U.S. was really a demotion after she ruined her career track over a man. So why was she chosen as the boss of the new division? Even though the detectives are talented, they all have some kind of issue or flaw, and they are considered to be the "problem children" of the police force. In the end, the division's true purpose is just to isolate these problematic detectives. --Tokyograph

I'm trying to think if this is the first time Amami and Takenouchi acted together? Majority of the cast is pretty good looking. Michan's eyes will melt most men.

They worked together for the first episode of the first Rikon Bengoshi, if I remember correctly. Yes, good-looking cast.

Not bad Ep. 1. I thought Kobayashi Kendo's character was too flamboyant Not enough Michan scenes though. Will definitely continue watching.

Wow Fuji TV is really promoting the hell out of this drama. The CM for BOSS was playing on the information monitors on the train.

She's great. I really enjoyed her in Enka no Joou. I'm definitely looking forward to this drama on so many different levels.

Wanna trade? My Drama List (UPDATED: July, 2013)

Standard "Band of misfits/underdogs working together and succeeds against all odds" type of drama (one of the oldest cliche in JDorama). Slick direction and stylish use of montage coupled w/ a great score and decent production values somewhat compensates, and the amount of star wattage and great looking cast should guarantee at least a decent rating.

The best part for me is the chemistry and witty banter between Amami and Takenouchi, who plays against type but is great nevertheless (although both can probably sleepwalk thru their roles). Ep. 1 started off with a bang, but once they started the investigation some of the characters lost their quirky personalites and it's back to your standard detective drama. The ending dragged a little as the outcome can be seen fom a mile away.

Given the scriptwriter's resume (Code Blue, Iryu II, and to a certain extent Rekon Bengoshi) my expectation is low, but it's still worth watching if you're a fan of the cast. This is the epitome of style over substance in JDorama.
