A fangirls version of Partners?

Looks like Yoshitaka Yuriko is relegated to yet another "girlfriend" role... Sweat

From the synopsis (which doesn't mention her character at all) and the ad banner, it sure seems that way... Sweat

^ Not me. I wait until the whole drama is subbed before I scarf it down in one sitting. And I stay off the reviews until then. Or try to. Sweat

Gee. They just had to make Shun and Hiro's characters the complete antithesis of the other in terms of personality and methodology... AND fashion sense! Crisp suits and a short, classic cut vs. black leather and a rat's nest? Thanks for rubbing it in, Jdoramas. We wouldn't have figured out their characters otherwise. Rolling eyes

Whatever. I'm watching this for Shun. Yeah And his clean-cut look. And his awesomeness. And his acting talent. Though not necessarily in that order. Beaten

Gives the fangirls a clear-cut choice... Black or white, no gray area. Mr Green

Heh heh. hehe But gray areas are good!!! Puppy Dog Eyes And they make for waaay meatier characters, too. It would be great if Shun got to play someone like Andy Lau's character (Matt Damon in THE DEPARTED) in the Hong Kong police thriller INFERNAL AFFAIRS (1-3). Well, Shun could also take on Tony Leung Chi Wai's good-guy character (counterpart: Leonardo diCaprio), who was just as complex. My goodness, thinking about INFERNAL AFFAIRS makes my pulse race. Sweat That trilogy rocked like FIRE! Yeah

Speaking of "black or white," I always thought that Hiro looked like some third-rate Michael Jackson impersonator--circa his Bad album days. Naughty *runs away screaming from Hiro fans* But I'm finding him more watchable these days (i.e. MR. BRAIN) than when I first saw him in ZETTAI KARESHI, where he was just this useless mass of black, greasy curls and cheekbones. Twisted

I watched the first episode and I might drop it. I wonLt go into details but the first 10 mins made me cringe.

Not all is bad. Shun looks amazing, I think he has never looked that good before - but thatLs fan service and not good enough to cover up for a bad script, subpar acting from the Hiro-dude and the unfunny comedy angle. Besides most male viewers wonLt be impressed with ShunLs goodlookingness anyway.

ILd rather wait for some Oguri Shun fangirls to produce some youtube slide shows with stills from the drama to swoon over him. This will make me feel good and pathetic at the same time.

Ouch! That was really bad, since his character was meant to be based in the US.

Well, after the bad things I heard about the first episode, I thought it wasn't that bad. Sadly, it wasn't that GOOD either. But passable if you like the lead actors. I wish they had gone for a more serious drama with some comedic moments rather than more of a comedy. And Hiro is too scruffy. Really, they should have made him the character who spoke English, since he is actually fluent in real life.

Yeah exactly, i dont mind if they are not good at english but not in this case becasue the character oguri shun played was meant to be one of those elite guys and obviously played under the scenario that he can speak english fluently which HE DIDNT`T!! cringing,,,, Grumble

marspeach,,well said. mizushima hiro shud hve played a role with more english dialogues involved!!!!

Basically, a copycat of Aibou went bad. Disappointing. Sad I don't see this one sustaining more that 17-18% in the coming episodes.
