Just saw the second episode of ''Karei naru Ichizoku'' on Ch 18 which is our new drama for Saturday night.

Aw, didn't I make a copy of this for you? I hate when stuff like that happens. Sad

Karei Naru Ichizoku will also be showing here on KIKU soon. I think I'll watch the copy that I have first to compare the subs and I might record the KIKU version if it's good.

Just finished "Bambino". The food was truly wonderful but, alas, the fruit boy was simply awful. I liked most of the rest of the cast, especially Uchida Yuki whom I have not see much in action. Sasaki Kuranosuke was his usual admirable self and Kitamura Kazuki was just as memorable.

It's a shame the delivery of this nice story was ruined by the presence of that piece of rotten fruit. It was just like one of the scenes where a very difficult customer commented that his presence spoiled the cuisine. How very true. bleh

Yes you did. Just looked through the pile. Now I will compare the two also. I bet your copy is better than CH18 as they can't seem to broadcast anything with night scenes without making them so dark they lose detail.

I tried watching the first episode of Karei, but towards the ending, it screws up and can't access the second episode. I guess I forgot to check if it worked beforehand. Bang Head

So now I think I'll watch Koi ni Ochitara since beem is bugging me to watch it. Beaten

I need to get replacement discs for Karei, but I'll send you a copy as soon as I get them. Sorry about that. Sad

Don't fret - I introduced the joys of Jdrama to a French couple and they loved this one.

OK Cori, Your copy is 1000% better than the broadcast version. Now I can watch it without waiting 8 weeks...Yours is widescreen and the broadcast version has been modified for 4:3 TV so with yours I get the full picture. As you will see when KIKU broadcasts it. Victory! Peace!

On episode three of Yasashii Jikan.

WOW!!! Dancing

The scenery is so beautiful. The story intimate and well-paced and the actors well cast.

I have a feeling Im really going to enjoy this one! Mr Green

Boy, I sure did.

On another note:

I just finished Kui-Tan 2, and I have to say... I was disappointed in the show.

I really enjoyed the first series, and was looking forward to this one. But it didn't work for me this time.

Probably too many lectures on food, and no attention at all paid to the stories.

Tell me, man.

I kept sitting there, every night, telling myself that I was enjoying it as much as the first one. But I noticed I was dozing off through most of them. And I never seemed to have a problem stopping tape when I got sleepy and telling myself that I could go back and finish up the episode the next day.

That sort of thing sure never happened during the first series.

Dang.

Familiarity breeds contempt...

Speaking o' sequels... I've got three episodes of Jikou Keisatsu 2 hardsubbed already... I'll knock off the remaining two today... From the D-Addicts site, there's no inkling when the last four will get subbed...
