So far as I can tell, Kekkon Dekinai Otoko (jversion) has been universally acclaimed as being 'as good as it gets' by everyone on this forum.

Isn't that amazing? Jumpie

[quote="Geezer"]Re: Dragon Zakura". Now there's a show I didn't think much of. No way it compares to "Trick".[quote]

For me, I dont think they can really be compared.
Like comparing a fine 4 course meal to McDonalds.
Trick is a much more complex drama.
Dragon Zak has Yampi in it and it silly High School fare.
But fun nevertheless.
Victory! Peace!

While waiting for the last 2 episodes of Shiroi Haru, I am watching BOSS.

In fact I watched the first 2 episodes...and I can say that it's a glitzy show. I'm no thrilled with the characters....even Erika Toda is bland. Hope the series gets better...

Not by me.

It's good, but not as good as it gets.

Finished Osen. Aoi Yuu was very good. It was an okay drama, not anything real special though.

Unfortunately real life has got in the way so I haven't been able to watch that many doramas lately.

I have now managed to finally finish Koi no Chikara. It had a good cast headed by the dependable Fukatsu Eri and an intelligent script, but it never really "clicked" for me. I think there was rather too much time spent dealing with the advertising side of things rather than the central romance, but even that somehow didn't quite ring true. It wasn't helped by the utterly predictable plot either.

I also been watching Moso Shimai a late night effort starring the sublimely graceful and elegant Kichise Michiko. It's basically a series of dramatisations of sections of famous Japanese poems and prose from the last 100 years of a little more, ahem, adult nature. Nothing too gratuitous, and the quality varies wildly, but when it works it has more than once reminded me of Kar Wai Wong's excellent film In the Mood for Love.

By recommendation, I'm currently watching Orange Days. Haven't watched that many yet, just recently converted into a dorama fanatic after watching 1 Litre of Tears. Puppy Dog Eyes Has anyone seen Ryusei no Kizuna yet? Seems to have garnered quite a lot of awards.
