As necessary as excess fat?

Really? Usually it gets panned. Maybe I need to check it out. _________________

I liked it, it was pretty good. Maybe you've got it confused with the song of the same name by WHAM! (aka George Michael). During Christmas one of the local radio stations had a survey about Christmas songs and "Last Christmas" by WHAM! was on a lot of lists as "Worst Christmas Song Ever".
OT: 2 episodes to go with Kaseifu no Mita. It kind of flattened out in the middle, but now that we're starting to find out why Nanako is the way she is, it's picking up. This drama is a must see for Nanako fans!

I liked it too. It was my (ex)girlfriend's favorite. We watched it two years in a row back when we were dating. _________________

It's the oldest J-drama I've watched other than GTO, and it's interesting to see how similar/different things are from a decade ago. Not overly invested in the story, though. |
I really liked Tokiwa in it. If you liked Orange Days you should see Say You Love Me, she is wonderful and heartbreakingly lovely in it. The actor who plays the lead role is amazing.

The final part of Gou airs locally this weekend, then they're running a couple other things. Taira, , , probably won't start here until the middle/end of February.

Yup, Episode 46, Part 2... Another commercial-fest.
The first part consisted of 40 minutes of drama (including opening titles) and 20 minutes of commercials.

I gave up on watching Gou last year but this time I came prepared with a history book and watched the first two episodes of Taira no Kiyomori but I suspect its more based on the Heike Monogatari rather than history. The story about Kiyomori's mother whilst dramatic, may not be true.I didn't recognize Seiko Matsuda or Fukiishi Kazue.
