Re-watching Satorare. Funny and touching drama. Currently watching, Jikou Keisatsu. Another Odagiri Joe's drama. Interesting drama and nice soundtrack.

Yea, staring at Nakama Yukie may do the trick, though at some point things become really monotonous and annoying... and also makes you wonder why do this villains don't use shotguns or better an AK-47.

If you like it, go for it. Though it starts getting really repetitive, I watched it mainly for the continuing Yankumi vs Sawatori clips. His facial expressions are hilarious hehe

Yep, it's getting better and better! Just finished ep 7 and I don't think I can stop - likely gonna have to finish it all today Mr Green

I don't think I've recently seen a mystery-thriller as exhilarating as this one Bonk

Aptly named too - Midnight Rain

Just finished Naguru Onna (Woman Striking a Blow), made in 1998. The first six or seven episodes were extremely entertaining and very hilarious; it starts to falter towards the end. The relationship between the two leads--Emi Wakui plays a laid-off OL who finds a temp job doing the accounting at a rundown gym and ends up being the trainer for a former salaryman played by Mitsuru Fukikoshi who decides to become a pro boxer--reminded me a lot of the Maddie Hayes /David Addison relationship in 80's series Moonlighting (anyone out there old enough to remember that show?). Wakui and Fukikoshi are very good and very funny in their roles and have nice chemistry, in spite of the contentiousness of their relationship, much like Maddie and David; Takehiko Ono, one of the great character actors in dorama and film, is also in the series, playing the owner of the gym. Thanks, Eve, for the series.
