I love watching Iron Chef, love seeing the food that they create and the comments from the special guests..they usually have one Japanese actor/actress. I was wondering if Matsushima Nanako, Takki, Uchiyama Rina, Yonekura Ryoko, or any other have been a special guest on Iron Chef..it would be fun to watch and listen to their comment and how the voice over is done.

Well, that's the thing about these "celebrity" judges. I mean, maybe I'm not paying as much attention as I should (and I think I watch that show on a regular basis), but, I'm beginning to recon' Iron Chef as an alternate reality Japanese TV show, if you will, since I don't seem to recognize ANY of the "celebrity" judges! Agreements? Disagreements? Cripes, except for Akebono (and, admittedly, I wonder how many folks on the mainland readily recognize him), I keep wondering whether the featured "athletes" were from one of Japan's Olympic teams!

And another thing . . . why's that psychic always on? I mean, by default, wouldn't she know how the food tastes before the main ingredient's even shown?

Yeah, yeah, I remember those last few shows, now; the pediatrician with the Joker clothes.

Wasn't he designated as an actor long before Iron Chef started? Hhaha, great trivia question: list "Chairman Kaga's" TV drama appearances prior to Iron Chef.

They pulled the plug on Iron Chef here in SoCal for some reason... Well at least on broadcast TV...

Those SMAP guys don't seem to have a problem getting celebs on their Bistro SMAP segment of their SMAPXSMAP show...

Kanno Miho (along with Akebono the sumo wrestler) was one of the judges in that battle between America's Bobby Flay and one of the Iron Chefs. They aired that episode on FoodTV (re-run) a few months ago.

When watching it, I always wish I'm on the panel of judges.

I just acquired the "Swallows Nest Battle" episode. This will be interesting.

There's one episode, "Corn Battle" where Julie Dreyfus (in Kill Bill movie) was the guest and one of the judges. She speaks fluent Japanese. Too bad the show is english dubbed.

Saw an actress Hiromi Nagasaku and actor Kazushige Nagashima featured in a "natto beans" episode some weeks ago. I think the iron chef claimed the victory.

I see Chizuru Azuma many times on the panel that I don't even know if she really acts as the credits say. Maybe mostly B movies?

Chairman Kaga is now on Fire Boys full time, as the fire commander.

I remember this episode. Those are about the only two famous people I remember. When they have some other actor or actress on there...I've never even heard of them.

Oh man....watching Akebono eat that lobster Drooling

Heh, you mean just good at cooking in general? I'm not half bad myself. I really want to try my hand at making sushi though but I've just been too lazy to buy the ingredients for it.
