hmmm... saw the trailer of a show that's going to be aired.... Home and Away... was just wondering if the guy in the show, Koizumi Koutaro is the son of Japanese Prime Minister, Koizumi Junichiro.... saw a pic of him b4... and tot the guy in the show looked distinctly like the Prime Minister's son....

Woot? Koutaro Koizumi, the son of the PM? Woot? I think I've seen his appearance in a few dramas such as Tail of Happiness http://www.jdorama.com/drama_656.htm and other dramas too, can't recall now. I bet he used his father's influence to get the roles. How about Kyoko Koizumi?

haha..... that's probably an added advantage....
but he's not such a bad looker himself so......
hadn't seen any of his shows, so can't comment on his acting....

I had the chance to leech Home&Away series off ftp. I didn't leech it cos it turned out to be a chinese vcd version which meant no Eng subs as well Can't read nor understand Chinese. No sense in watchin the series without understandin the story. I wanted to see a Miho Nakayama drama at least once.

yo Pemu.... your wait may soon be over.... cos' they are showing Home & Away on Channel 8 (first ep tomolo 7.8.03).... so there may be a chance that it will be available on Jem's soon.... and it will be in Eng subtitles....

Hehe! There is a sayin here, "Like father, like son". It seems Koutaro didn't follow his father's footstep to study political science to be become a diet someday. Instead of that he chose an actor's career. How lovely! Japanese children are usually forced to follow their parents' decisions. "Take over my business"-thing still exists. More dramas from Koutaro, so we're able judge whether he's up to the task or not:)

hey, that's really true!!! it probably goes to show that PM Koizumi is a democratic kind of father..... or perhaps Koutaro is not the only son.... maybe the younger one... that's why he's got more freedom when it comes to career choice....

He's actually the elder son, he has a younger brother. His father's a fan of X-Japan, pretty cool eh?

Maybe Koutaro defied his father decision, his father cut the ties. They seem like a happy father/son relationship as shown in public. In reality their relationship is "ok", not too warm. It'll be a scandal if the media finds out. Another scenario Koutaro looks like Mickey? I say Sylvester jr. just like the one in kook05's signature, cute
