i think he's talking about all those spam that says they are from some royalty in nigeria (or some other 3rd world country) and just ask for a bank account number so they can "wire" you some money.

off topic, I know, but i need to add something to that: Yeah, it's been rampant the past year or so. There's even scams where they send you a letter saying you won the, typically, Australian lottery and they need you to wire a 'claim fee' before they can send you the funds. How stoopid can you be to pay someone for your winnings?!? Anyway, since I used to be a banker, I saw a lot of these... be careful all!
