I know. European football fans are merciless. I think if you're a player you have to have a thick skin, but still, taunting someone over a nuclear tragedy is a bit much.

When teams from the German Bundesliga play in Belgium do the German fans chant "May 10, 1940" to commemorate the invasion of Belgium?

Yeah they're screwed. They need to pick up the pace. Columbia is their most difficult opponent in that group too.

It's homeground advantage for all the South American teams. The tropical weather and playing ground aren't the cup of tea for those from temperate climate.
