A few years back, David Beckham was told by some mob that they'd hope for his kids to die of cancer. Some African players are regularly greeted with monkey sounds when playing against certain clubs.

I know. European football fans are merciless. I think if you're a player you have to have a thick skin, but still, taunting someone over a nuclear tragedy is a bit much.

When teams from the German Bundesliga play in Belgium do the German fans chant "May 10, 1940" to commemorate the invasion of Belgium? Crazy

Like you said some of those fans are Wack

Italy 2, Germany 1.

Italy shot down the German Luftwaffe like its planes were made of balsa wood.

Haha. I think Greece will take it! Win it boys, this is for all the Gyros!

J/k. No more penalty kicks is all I ask for. I don't wanna see a repeat of Ashley Cole missing the shot!

If Japan doesn't do well in the World Cup it's because they didn't have this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk4vnVsx2wc

Mmm... 0-0 draw for Japan against Greece. Doesn't bode well for them when they next face Colombia.

Yeah they're screwed. They need to pick up the pace. Columbia is their most difficult opponent in that group too.

It's homeground advantage for all the South American teams. The tropical weather and playing ground aren't the cup of tea for those from temperate climate.

Keeping my Fingers crossed that Germany reaches the final four.

Yep, 3-1 now, with just a few minutes more to go. I expect Zaccheroni and his players will get a grilling (and more?) when they return home.

It's okay, they're in good company with the likes of Spain, Italy and England all going back early.

Edit: Ack, 4-1 now...
