Inugami?
Yup. I found it... dark (and I do mean dark. Half the time I couldn't see what the heck was going on.) confusing... and as a result, sort of unpleasant.
As I think about it now I'm wondering if I even watched it to the end. _________________

Nice cast but sounds like Sugar and Spice ... mmh
I dunno what Sugar and Spice is...but the cast was very strong although the movie was decent but not particularly captivating. Not bad, just not great.

I started too late so I didn't get a chance to finish it... but I really am looking forward to seeing the rest tonight.
Abe Sadao is flat out chanelling the early 1960's Jerry Lewis.
And Shibasaki Kou is doing a great job now that she's pulled that stick out of her butt. Her new attitude seems to have carried over from here, to "Galileo" and I couldn't be happier. (She's always been gorgeous. Now she's allowing herself to be likeable.)
This thing is straight, low-brow, baggy pants, slap stick comedy, with a couple of musical numbers thrown in. And watching the first hour last night improved my mood no end. _________________

Spielberg's DreamWorks to remake "Yomigaeri"
Wed, May 21, 2008
The 2003 box office hit "Yomigaeri" is headed for Hollywood. Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks studio has picked up remake rights to the film, and production is expected to start as early as this fall.
The award-winning movie was based on a novel by Shinji Kajio. The story revolves around the mysterious revivals of people who were once dead, reuniting with their loved ones and showing no signs of aging. Directed by Akihiko Shiota, the movie featured a stellar cast that included Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, Yuko Takeuchi, and Kou Shibasaki.
William Nicholson ("Gladiator") is writing the script. No other staff or cast have been announced so far, but Spielberg himself is listed as a possible choice for director. The budget is reportedly as high as 10 billion yen.
