Voting starts now. I'd appreciate votes with strong reasons more than alot of votes with no reason. So... please PM me your votes, stating the candidate and forum. Vote 1 candidate per forum only.

Anyway, to add about a moderater's responsibilites...

Try to answer questions in the forum, or guide the users to answers to their queries. Especially so for Learn Japanese forum. Goal, is not to leave posts ignored. So even if nobody has the answer, someone could reply stating that its difficult to know, or whatever reason that applies. We've a cozy community here ne?

Of coz, try not to overdo it. Its not very nice to see your name appearing in a thread multiple times consecutively. It'll look as if you've not planned what to post, or are trying to boost your post count.

A moderator ain't there just to police the forums. You're there to keep the community well and alive too. What do you guys think?

If you've noticed, I've split "General Discussions" into 2 forums.

And regarding the mods, here's the list. (I will enable the mod status abit later)

Pemu, Michi (General/J-ENT)

sephy1024 (General)

juliana_phang (Dramas)

arashinokoto (Artistes)


I believe we've been on this topic for some time, and I don't think I need to explain further why I've made my choices. Each candidate has been selected based on knowledge of topic, experience on the forum and popularity amongst other users. Lets applaud your new moderators to welcome them!

Currently the new "General Discussions" forum is empty, and the old topics will be moved over slowly from "Japanese Entertainment Discussions".

Moderators of these two forums, try to facilitate the move when you have time (including sephy, you will have temporary rights to J-ENT). Note that when you move a topic, do not leave a shadow topic behind (you'll understand when you try to move it, from the buttons on the lower left corner of the page

Learn Japanese and Buy/Sell/Trade forums still do not have any moderators. I will be on a further lookout for suitable people.

Thats it for now. If you've any problems or queries with what I've posted here, just voice out. I'll be listening.

I didn't know till Sephy told me in the channel. I thought Genma would pick the mods the followin week. I guess the sooner the better, hehe.
