Midou Ban, best of luck! $250 per mth is a lot of money....in all honesty, if you have only enough funds to maintain it for 2 mths... i'm not too sure if you can rely on donations to maintain your site after that. My experience with most forum sites asking for donations is that funds would only start coming in when your site has made its presence on the net for an extended period, ie. people grow attached to it and would contribute cos they don't want the site to die off. There's often a lot of ways to earn a little cash to maintain your site like getting yourself associated with some online stores... but your site being a download site cannablises the biz of such stores in a way so i'm not too sure how keen they are on this... but it does not hurt to try. I don't mean to dampen your spirits but it does not hurt to explore other options besides giving direct downloads.... open ftp, direct connect, bitorrent, overnet or emule... p2p alernatives that some others mentioned prior to this.

It's a tough work you got there midou. hosting all the Jdorama in a site. It's a great Idea but the cost is too expensive. Why dont u let only the member of your site can download. Put a small amount of fee to be a member. This is just an idea. Coz.. u see, waiting for someone to donate is ..well ... take times. if you are really KIND then it ok. Gosh.. sorry for my english. I cant even read it well. harharhar. Mind me.

as you see within two mths of hosting those stuff is becos im using my own saving fund to help out ppl
PS: im just a students not much money. I got those money as earning from my summer holiday money.

But you see if charging a small amount per mth. I think not much ppl willing to pay it and they pay for it, they will keep on complain and complain that your service is sucks.

As Pemu said, Good luck. Such site can get ahold by the MPAA easy. If you want todo it, I suggest private ftps by PM. I have seen too many friends get to jail because of copyright bullshit they are pulling now.
