i really can't believe i'm going to post this but here is the most recent news i found on one of the NewS LJ groups, courtesty of jisatsuganbou
here it is (copied directly from the post)....
"NEWS will stop activity (temporaly, not forever ) after the tour till the end of the year .. so after May they will stop.. but it seem that the solo projects will continue (like droamas and so)...
To surmmerise. They will have tour in March - April and release CD in March. But both tour and CD will only have 6 members. Also whole group will go on "selfreflection" period (as in tempory volunteer withdraw), but solo projects will continue. Their won't be any NEWS activity within this year after May.

When they are back will be again 8 members.... it will be the group all of us love, with more power than ever... menawhile they can work in their careers in uni in solo projects and so on...
they will be back with so much more power than ever and all of them...
time flyes.. soon will be the new year and soon they wuill be back... and still we have 6 members till ^^ may...
we have to be positive... and keep supporting them no matter what ."

thanks missmonika for the news... is it bad? cuz my friend and i wanna write johnny a letter... not like bashing or cursing him out but seriously serioulsy like... hmm... a serious letter. anyway.
yamapi better not be going on a diet. i dont think its true because i thought he and jin were like competing to see who could gain more weight? then again i forget where i got that info also but...
HE LOOKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER NOW... i really realy REALLY hope hes not dieting.. yamapi, PLEASE....
and about NEWS... i am so sad. i will faithfully await their return, however, all eight of them. i love them together and i cant wait to see them in action together once again... i am still gonna order the calendar tho i am now skeptical of whats gonna be IN it... sigh... johnny... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
and missmonika, ur not crazy or obsessed. or perhaps i say that cuz i am too ...i was also crying when i got the news. _________________

ohmygosh... that cannot be... =( no NewS activities...??? sighh, well... at least the doramas are still on... <not very comforting though> wahh, this is so sad...
yamapi shall not go on a diet either, to me at least, he is completely perfect right now... completely perfect indeed...
sighh... so its going to be seven more months of waiting until after may... when news will be all together again... =(

some of my faves are Cherish, Teppen, Private Hearts, Love Song (yamapi solo!), Koi Yake (ryo solo!), Kibou Yell, Zutto, NEWS Nippon, Akaku moyuru taiyou... and more... i would say more but im relaly sleep deprived... haha

oh, good, i'm glad i'm not the only one out there who was crying over this. well, whatever happens with them, i'll support them no matter what. i'm also anticipating EVERYONE returning. _________________

hey i havent been heres for ages but heard about the the News and had to come and offer support! and add my two scents worth on the topic
you know what i think that people make such a big deal about this, yeah ok hes a celebrity and he should be held to a higher standard but people should understand that hes a teenage boy in a very showbiz world, i dont know anybody in my group of friends who didnt drink underage (i personally dont like to drink) but still everyone does it *runs from epople who might disagree*
you hes young and i just think he was unlucky to have been caught thats all, i mean in england the drinking age is 18 honestly i reckon 20 is way too long esp when its so easily accessible!
if anyone should be punished severely its the person who invaded his privacy and took pictures of him. fine i guess outside paparazzi pics are reasonably acceptabe cos they're out in the open but not when they are inside having privte time!
i stil dont quite understand why all of news have to be suspended this time but wasnt when uchi did it. plus dont hate me im an uchi fan but he did go abit wild in a drunken state where as K didnt.
oh well i let my anger out needed a place to vent soz
