Is KimuTaku you guys talking about the member from SMAP? Is his acting skills really that great? I know he's super popular, but at the same time always hear people saying his acting skills never improve/not good enough........and that the guy from V6 actually a threat to him.......(plz don't kill me, I just tell what I saw from various newspaper) I seldom watch his drama.....so I can't tell.........is he really the best actor in JP that no one can compare to him? Again, I ask out of curious, don't kill me.
Nope. Well how good he acts is totally subjective. People will have different opinions. But KimuTaku is so good at getting 'loyal' fans. His doramas, somehow since i dun watch a lot of him either, are highly expected. Hmmm... and which V6 guy do you mean? Okada Junichi? his acting is great you know... And well yeah Pi is good at collecting fans, living proof posting at this thread , but i don't think his acting is good enough, well sometimes it's brilliant but he had his horribles too. But KimuTaku has his downs too, but i personally think they are never totally dissapointing... No one can compare to him? not really.
well, in my opinion, the JE boys that i think has superb talent:
1.Nagase Tomoya
2.Takuya Kimura
3.Okada Junichi
4.Ninomiya Kazunari
(Okada Junichi is switchable with Nino )
next up, a bit confused with so many others, maybe Pi or that Jun from Arashi...

how much is the magazine : must be costly if it's limited edition. If not, not enough Return on Investment (ROI). not worth it to print. either that, or the publishers had underestimated the size of NEWS fan base.

Oy. Comparing to KimuTaku. This happened a month or two ago in the KAT-TUN thread, talking about Kame. Except it was a lot more dramatic than the conversation here, LOL. Suffice it to say that there is no "next KimuTaku," which I didn't here anyone here say but sometimes people think this way. No one else in JE is anywhere near KimuTaku at this point. He's been popular for what, like 12 years? I for one absolutely love his dramas and think he's an amazing actor. But it will be a long time before we'll see if anyone else in JE will come close to this kind of long-lasting popularity that KimuTaku has. Cuz he's so far beyond anyone else in JE, it's not even funny.
Are some of you really thinking that NEWS might not last as a group? I think Johnny is too smart to let his groups die. He will always find a way to innovate and keep them popular ne? I mean, look how long some of the older groups have been around. I have no worries for NEWS' future (although I'll be much more reassured after their return, LOL).
Has anyone here mentioned Ryo-chan's new jweb? It's as a member of NEWS, after all. In his second entry, he talked about Tesshi. <3

I don't really like when people make comparisons. I mean there will never be another of one person. Even if the popularity equals or exceeds the person that is being compared with, it still won't be the same. The way the popularity was gained, the type of fans, the charisma, the personality... nothing can be the same. So let's just not compare anyone with anyone.
I agree with GodsGirl7. The only way NEWS' popularity would die off is if Johnny himself lets it. There is just no way that any JE band would just simply fade off into nothingness. If you see NEWS as a money-making machine, you'll realise that they'd continue for as long as JE sees fit. _________________

About how Johnny won't let his boys die, of course. His boys will still be there, but that doesn't mean in the same band... Maybe the boyband NewS itself won't last long in my opinion, but hell knows bout the members...

Saying that one thing is better than another is one thing. Saying that one thing/person is going to be the next so and so is a totally different thing altogether. It's not about the one and only feeling, as you say it.
Comparing popularity is not easy. Let's say that A is an established and accomplished artiste with a large fanbase. Then, along comes B, a new and rising artiste who easily gains an even larger fanbase within a short period of time. You can't just easily say that B is more popular than A. You've got to look which kind of audience the two of them appeal to as well. A may have a larger hold on the older age groups and cross-gender. B may appeal more to teenagers.
Then, you've got to look at how that popularity was gained. Did B have a larger fanbase because of his skills or because of his personality? Or was it because he simply had more marketing and more exposure? Did A struggle to get himself known, starting from the very bottom of the entertainment industry and did B just shoot straight to the top with the help of influential insiders? Comparisons are just not as easy as you think they are.
You can't say that B is going to be the next A either. Because they are two different individuals. It doesn't matter if B exceeds A in terms of popularity, B will just never be A, and A will never be B. _________________

hey minna! i just read ryo-chan's jweb entries as well as the latest kei's one!! OMG i just love the way ryo-chan writes! For those interested, you can read ryochan's entries here and here and kei-chan's entry here
After reading those three entries i came to two conclusions.
1) NEWS is 100% coming back for sure I mean why else would they start a whole new series for ryo-chan if NEWS isn't coming back? Also, both ryo-chan and kei-chan mentioned about NEWS' renuion next year
I'm really glad too that there are now more member cross-mention in their jwebs. Hello? Kei stopped just talking about shige and now includes ryo-chan! They have also been meeting up more often And ryo's dedication to his tegonyan on his jweb here is <3 (the nipple part's the best lol)
2) It seems quite unlikely for the two suspended members to return based on ryo and kei's entries. Is it a coincidence or what that..

When ryo-chan said that he will write about his fellow NEWS members here, he gave code names to all of them (P=yamapi, elite-kun=shige, fox/wisdom/ramen shop=kei, miso soup duo=tegomass) but where's uchi and kusa!!
For Kei's entry here, he mentioned about the christmas party where ryo and him will prepare food, tego and shige prepare drinks and massu and pi will do deco but where are kusa and uchi again!
blearghh. oh wells maybe johnny thinks NEWS will survive better without kusa and uchi. >< >< ><
