I knew Johnny boys have monopoly on Kindaichi, but I didn't expect Yamapi to be one of them. When they announced him as Kindaichi Kosuke, I had my reserves. Yamapi isn't exactly known for his acting range. I'm glad to have been proven wrong. He pulled off the scruffy character just fine.

NEWS to release Tokyo Dome live on DVD/Blu-Ray
NEWS will release a new live DVD/Blu-ray titled 'NEWS 10th Anniversary in Tokyo Dome' on March 19th.
The live DVD/Blu-ray will feature NEWS' 10th anniversary concert that was held on September 7th at Tokyo Dome. On that day, the group performed songs mainly from their latest album "NEWS", along with their hit singles.
The DVD/Blu-ray will be 3-disc set. DISC 1 and 2 will include live footage, while DISC 3 will include a special footage as well as footage from their reward trip.

NEWS to release new single in January
NEWS have announced that they will release their new single "KAGUYA" on January 7, 2015.
The group's first single of 2015 will have the motif of "Princess Kaguya" from 'The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter'. It's a love song that fuses the folktale with the NEWS of the "present". The PV for "KAGUYA" will be directed by Ninagawa Mika, and it will portray a colorful "present day Princess Kaguya".
Limited Edition A will come with a DVD containing the PV and making footage of the title track. Meanwhile, Limited Edition B and Regular Edition will each include exclusive coupling tracks, all of which are currently untitled.

NEWS to release new album 'WHITE'
NEWS will release their new album 'White' on February 25.
This album comes about a year and a half since releasing 'NEWS,' which was their first album after becoming a 4-member group. The new album will be produced with the theme "white" and it will showcase the group's new style. Besides their singles "ONE -for the win-" and "KAGUYA," the album will include "Aikotoba" which was written and composed by the 4 members and performed during their 10th anniversary event. The regular edition will include solo songs from each member.
As for the limited edition, it will come with a DVD containing a short film and making footage for the album's lead track "MR.WHITE". It will also enclose a "TEAM WHITE sticker". Those who reserve both the limited and regular editions at the same time will also receive a "TEAM WHITE clutch bag" on a first come first serve basis.

NEWS to release new single in January
NEWS have announced that they will release their new single "Hikari no Shizuku / Touch" on January 20th.
One of the title tracks "Hikari no Shizuku" has been picked up as the theme song for Fuji TV's upcoming drama "Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi". This drama will be based on member Kato Shigeaki's short story of the same title. It will star Kato Shigeaki, Kiryama Renn, Sakata Masanobu Adachi Rika, Watanabe Mai, Takeda Rena, Minamisawa Nao, and Raita Ryu.
The single's limited edition will be released in a "Hikari no Shizuku version" and a "Touch version". Each version will come with a DVD containing each title track's PV and making footage. There will also be a regular edition that will include two additional tracks, "Hoshi no Tabibitotachi" and "whis�Eper".

NEWS to release new album 'Quartetto'
NEWS will release a new album, titled "QUARTETTO", on March 9.
This marks the group's first full album since "White", which was released over a year ago. It will include 12 tracks including their singles "Chumu Chumu", "Yonjuushi", "ANTHEM", "Hikari no Shizuku", and "Touch".
The album's Limited Edition will come with a DVD containing the PV and making-of footage for "Theme of "QUARTETTO"", while the Regular Edition will come with the members' solo songs for a total of 16 tracks.
Those who pre-order both editions at the same time will receive an original memo pad on a first-come-first-serve basis.

NEWS to release new single in February
NEWS will release their new single, titled "Emma" on February 8th.
This song will be used as the opening theme for Fuji TV's drama "Kirawareru Yuuki" starring member Shigeaki Kato.
The single will be released in three versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. Limited Edition A will come with a DVD containing the PV and making-of footage for "Emma", while Limited Edition B will include the 4-member versions of "Sakura Girl" and "I-ZA-NA-I-ZU-KI".

NEWS to release new album in March
NEWS will release their new album "NEVERLAND" on March 22nd.
Besides their singles "EMMA" and "Koi wo Shiranai Kimi e", the album will contain brand new songs. The Limited Edition will include 11 songs while the Regular Edition will come with the members' solo numbers for a total of 15 tracks.
The Limited Edition will also come with a DVD including footage titled "NEVERLAND EPISODE.0" a "key to NEVERLAND" and an ID that will allow fans access to special footage.

NEWS' Keiichiro Koyama to resume his activities
NEWS member Keiichiro Koyama will be resuming his activities effective immediately.
The announcement was made thru the group's official website: "In addition to reflection on his past actions, we have a specific plan in place that has been implemented. Based on this and the discussions of everyone involved, we have decided to resume Koyama's activities effective June 27, 2018."
Koyama's resumption of activities coincides with the release of NEWS' new single "BLUE".
