Japanese/romanji:

->Ray, boku-tachi kon ya kara Ray no yo tomarun dayo!

->Doshite?

->Emma no oka-san ga atarai teruchado ikusain kaga Bradpool ni ryoko ni karata no yo
sonno aidaishu kan dake uchi dasu kara koto ni natanno.

English:

->Hey Ray, starting today we're going to sleep at your place

->Why?

->Emma's mother's sponsor is leaving for vacation to Bradpool
So we're taking care of them for a week

The guys who translated the subtitles must have done a few errors here, cause it makes no sense (you have to watch the scene). Anyway, I listen to the scene and took the romanji (fuzzy romanji, btw), so I hope anyone knows how the correct translation is. I pasted the translation too (as you can see Bleah), because I know there are things right and things wrong. Thanks!

One of my friends picked up a manga and we're having trouble understanding this page. Mainly, that "div" is throwing us. Can someone please help translate and, if possible, explain what "div" means? Thanks very much.

First of all there's a typo it's not 񕨎I but "񕨎I" (non material, immaterial). Also could it be that "" is also a typo? Could it be "\h? It doesn't really seem to make sense otherwise. Assuming these two are typos it translates as follows:

The immaterial spririt which tries to destroy beings which are harmful to men are expressed in the sanskrit word "div". The word "diva" also comes from the same root, however "diva" expresses an immaterial spirit that cares/worries for the faith/integrity of a human being.

The problem is, this is bullshit. Diva is the latin word for godess. The word "diva" orginially was the title of Roman Emresses who recieved the status of a godess. Then later it was used for extraordinarily talented female opera singers, and nowadays its often used in a more broad sense for any very famous celebrity.

Great translation!
Actually, it's not a typo.
͂
Although it has many meanings, in this context it means "to have an origin in" or "to be derived from."

Food for thought.
