geez, kou shibasaki is more than famous in Japan nowadays. She's made many fashion magazine covers lately, her face is all over the place in sony advertisement posters, as well as trains and subways in tokyo. I dont want to go as far as to call her the "it" girl though, because i think she's much cooler

Her role in Dr. koto is a bit same with the one in good luck...i think.
a watchable drama....fans of her must watch it!!

Of course she's famous in Japan!! Her single tsuki no shizuku sold over 700,000 copies in japan...that's very high....

Sorakara is definitely a good show and it's in my top 3 list for doramas.

Btw, Shibasaki Kou has just released a maxi single called "Ikutsuku no Sora" yesterday and her first album is going to be out on Feb 11.

I've listened to the single and it's good. Every song of hers that I listen to seems to be very good for me.

I like Kou shibasaki too. She is a great actress and singer too. I think it's alright to admire an actress I've watched her acting for the first time in "Face" (Katsunori Takahasi, Nakama Yukie) and then of course as an evil person in Battle Royale. She looks good with Takuya Kimura in "Good Luck" and also with Joe Odagiri in those Sony CMs.

I wouldn't call Kou's character in Battle Royale (Mitsuko) "evil", after all she just "didn't want to be a loser" and looking at her background, she's actually a quite tragic character.

Oh yes... Quentin Tarrantino planned Kou to play Yuki Yubari, GoGo's sister, sadly Kou's schedule was too filled to have time to do it. It would have been sweet though, both Chiaki Kuriyama and Kou Shibasaki in the same movie, again, killing some people, again... etc etc

i didn't watch it, but issa and shibasaki kou were couple......there are news about them breaking up.......now they're together again....dunno which is true
somehow there are rumours about issa and miyazawa rie dating.....and then shibasaki kou found out.....

i love Shibasaki Kou too (although i'm a woman).
I like her performance in Good Luck. Actually i want to watch Yume no california. Because there is also Tsuyoshi. Unfortunately i haven't watched it.
Back to Kou, she is great. Her beauty and acting is good that made me adore her.

Hey not sure if I'm correct on this or not but didn't she just release a single called "Ikutsuka no Sora". I think I read earlier in this thread that she was also known as Rui, so I'm wondering why she didn't release under the name Rui as she did before.
