May plan to put up a section to get ppl started on the language.. well, you can't really learn a language online, but its just a guide, and you'll take off from there.

why don't you join some classes formally?

Learning Japanese itself will take up lots of time. You either need to have the self-discipline to learn on your own, or go take a course that'll make you study. Smile

Genma is right. Many friends I have thought Japanese is simply speaking as you see on TV. But to learn the language, you need to start from the beginning, just like any other language. It isn't as interesting as you might expect, especially when the grammar and writings come in.

There is a free way to learn Japanese: Attend courses offered in schools! If you are in Secondary school, I believe there are programmes for third language courses. But that might be difficult get. Or else, wait till you go to NTU, NIE or NUS. They all offer Japanese courses, and you get to learn from actual Japanese sensei who are ultra kawaii! :P

You simply have to invest time into learning a language, even one that is falsely easy like Japanese.

Yeah, take the ones offered in your school, afterall, you still pay the same school fees Bleah

I guess the interesting part is in actually using it, or being able to comprehend what you hear on tv. Get to know more ppl who understands the language and practise on them Smile

Dear neko~meow,

You probably do not have an account at all. The system lets you in as a guest if you do not login as a registered user.

The main forum page allows you to signup for free. Smile
