thought that it was odd that this topic hasnt come up before
(or maybe i didnt search the forums hard enough ? Bonk )

if you're like me, and you can't understand japanese and rely on subtitles then im sure that theres been a drama that you have seen around and wanted to watch, but decided to stay clear of it because there are no english subtitles for it.

for me the dramas that come to mind as im typing are:

1)Mukodono 2003
thougth most say it aint as good as the first series, i'd still like to watch it

2)heaven cannot wait 2:
i really liked the first series, (sad because its been around for a few years now and noone has given it any attention Sad )

3)Water boys 2:
really enjoyed the movie and frist season, was very suprised to hear that there was going to be a second series, (what more could they do with the plot?) anyway i've seen episodes 1-4 (raw)around, and so far people say its good.
hope someone deciedes to sub this soon.

4)Trick3:
just finished watching the first season, sooooo funny, had me in stitches.
just got my hands on the second season, hope someone translates this season as well

5)Wonderfull life:
sounds interesting, (Sorimachi Takashi playing a baseball coach)

I didn't like Love Revolution much, Sweat but I'm surprised it hasn't been subbed yet. A lot of people seem to like it considering it's one of the most popular in this site despite no subtitled versions.

Yeah, I feel that same way about Love Revolution. Having the English subs would help with making a fair assessment of the series... Smile

Ikebukuro West Gate Park and Kisarazu Cats Eye

They might be a little hard to swallow if the viewer is not familiar of Japan and its society, but the enjoyment from these dramas need to be shared with much more people!

I would do the translations myself if I only knew how to make subs.... Sweat

I would really love to see...

Love Revolution
Mukodono 2003.

I also wish someone would do Tokyo Love story. It is old but and Love Generation is similar but I would still love to see it subbed.

I have recently downloaded a subtitling program. I am just subtitling for fun, but I figure someone might want to see them...

I am currently soft-subbing:

NzoɂȂO / Kimi ga Omoide ni Naru Mae ni
--I've started on episode 3, as I am still in the process of getting 1, 2 and 4.

삭̗l / Minami-kun no Koibito
--I've started on episode 5 of this because I deleted the earlier eps. I can always download them again though.

I can do other dramas, I am just surprised no one else has done them! Like Tokyo Love Story!! That's infamous! Kisarazu Cat's Eye isn' interesting enough for me to bother translating one episode for 4 days, haha, so I won't take that request...but if someone can show me where the RAWS are, I'll be willing to type them up Smile

Oh, so yeah, doesn't anyone want to see "Kimi ga Omoide..."??? If you've downloaded it from a torrent, I can upload the soft-subs eventually. Big Grin

I watched 'Wonderful Life' on TV. I really enjoyed it but to tell the truth I don't know if it had English subs or not. Sometimes I understand the whole drama without subs. I don't quite know how as I don't understand Japanese. At the moment there is the drama 'Proof of a Man' and that is one I am not getting at all. No subs but the action does not carry the plot for me.
'Pride' is another one without subs but I got most of it and enjoyed it a lot. Now I am holding my breath for the English subbed d/l but it has stopped at Episode 5. Don't know when or if it will be continued.
Since I adore Kimura I am really hoping for this to start up again. It is a good drama with a very good cast.
