yah it was released on d-addicts, and it had soft subs i think. was awhile ago though.

I see. So, does that mean that it's un-torrentable since it's in the archive only? Or can people still seed it?

well someone has to actually upload the torrent file again, then they can seed again. (either use the old torrent file, or make a new one).

Eps 1 and 2 are now being seeded at Prince's Site. I got the VCDs from E-Bay.

Slackey: Ah, so they did stop it. But WHY!?!?!? Anyhow, do you know of anyone else willing to help restart the project? I need someone who can do all the technical stuff...

I originally wanted to get a TRICK 3 sub going, (and they probably will air it subbed in Cali next season anyway. Heh.) but I think Gokusen needs it more.

Comments? I don't want to feel alone in this effort...

Really?!? That's great! I'm asking a lot, though, since I only have VCDs with bad picture quality and Chinese hard subs. If you have friends or know of other techie people please PM me. Thank you soo much!

There are people out there subbing Imouto-yo, so there's got to be some people who want this too, right? We can do it! Chatter

Scratch the above part for now. amrayu: I think I got a little ahead of myself, but still thanks very much. (I think I understand Prince's dilemma, poor guy...) Although right now is a bad time and I've become kind of busy, I'll still translate. For now I'll just keep the translations as text files and save them for a better time. It's a start. Sweat

Keep posting, though. I'll definitely be back!

you understand chinese right? and you are translating from the chinese to english??
i could help you out with the wording, cuz i know sometimes the script is a little bit different when they translate to chinese.
i know enough japanese to change the wording around so it can match the original meaning.
good luck with the translating. you can PM me anytime when you want to start.

Actually, I mostly use the Japanese, but I look at the Chinese for reference. I should have some free time this weekend, so I'll probably be contacting you shortly. Domo~

Wow, I am thrilled at the idea of a new Gokusen drama subbing project! I have seen it all raw (with those hard chinese subs, which do me no good, as I do not understand chinese) and I have seen the special subbed, but that is about it.

I have had a lot of problems trying to get Prince's version of episode 1 subbed to play right on my computer. It always freezes up about halfway through and then crashes my player. Has anyone else been able to watch Prince's sub of ep 1 all the way through, or is it just me having this problem?

Anyway, I have been hoping that someone would continue subbing Gokusen because it really needs it!

Now I wish someone would sub 'Kimi wa Pet' too...

I'm so happy you asked! That's the best scene EVER!!

Tetsu: "Ojou has already said that she likes you. Even so, I don't plan on giving up on her easily."

Shinohara: "That's nice. Go right ahead."

Assistant: "WHAT?!? You mean that both of you like Yamaguchi-sensei too? That means that there are three rivals for her love!"

Shin: "Excuse me, but there are FOUR."

Mr Green Great, ne?

OMG!! that is the best!! thank you so much, i figured it was along those lines but I really wanted it confirmed thank you thank you! and this series really needs to be subbed for all those who watched it raw like me are missing out on a lot! I really liked the nakama-jun pairing there werent enough scenes of these two alone together Shake Head , too bad she wasnt the lead in kimi wa petto, but that actress fit her role so it's ok i guess...

oh so back to the possible revival!! um, I don't know any Chinese or Japanese nor technical skills of adding subs to eps Sweat But i really want to help get this thing off the ground too...I don't know how much help this is, but if subbers can use the vcd w/ hard chinese subs to add the english subs to, I can send them burns of my copy free of charge...
About the only other thing I can think of is helping to host and distro when the time comes Big Grin

oh one technical q for anyone who knows: if I found .srt sub files for a series that I already bought a vcd boxset of, can I run the files alongside the vcd so that the english subs come up? and how would i do that? thanks!

Well... I have all timings, dvds, etc ready, just don't have the time to translate it.

There are currently 2 groups that wants to pick up the series, but yet to gives me translation sample.

So anyone that want to translate it, feels free to contact me via PM or email.
I can be reached in IRC as well as [Prince]

There are ~700 downloads (that's 1yr ago stats) for eps 1, and seems like everyone that got it can get it to work.

Really? Blah, it must be my stupid computer then -_- I have no idea why it will only play about half of episode 1 before spazzing. What is the correct filesize for episode 1? The version of ep 1 I have is a lot larger in filesize than ep 2. I am wondering if I downloaded the wrong thing @_@ I got it from someone on Streamload.

Episode 1 is 656.63 MB, Emi. Are you using Media Player or something else, b/c I've never had any problems...

BTW: Wow! I'm so suprised that you appeared! I'm a huge fan of your Gokusen page! It's what convinced me to finally go out and buy the drama. Also, your Cowboy Bebop page has always been worshipped for a long time. Wink

Thanks for your kind offers of help everybody. I'm working as fast as I can, despite school obligations and Asian parents. Episode 3 should be completed very soon, so I'll be sending it off to amrayu. I just PM'd Prince too, so it looks like things are moving along.

Looks like we're really going to do it!. Applaud
