Wow, that sounds very much like what's going on in our government here in the States.

Yup.
She's been running this company for the past 30+ years and she still doesn't know how to just relax and trust her people... She treats us like kids.
Actually, she's a lot like my mom: neurotic and worries about EVERYTHING.

That's a loonnnggg time but if she (with all the employees' hard work) gets the projects out on time she must be doing something right.

I think it's less about her and more the people involved... She just adds to everyone's anxiety level with her micromanagement and "sky is falling" attitude.
The few times she's gone on vacation, it's more at ease and a lot happier bunch of people.

Why? Oh, because of the "crap" part. I think it should be changed. "talk about work" instead of "talk crap about work" since a lot of people would have nice things to say as well. _________________

There's actually another thread for that.

Be my guest.
There's also a Talk Crap About School thread as well.
EDIT: Actually you made the same suggestion two years ago.

I think that is an excellent point,
i could say that there is plenty to complain about with work, especially for this week, but I try to be thankful, and to have a job, is the main thing to be thankful for, and my co-workers are ok.
