anyone got an idea on when a dvd will be out of Azumi2

That's the normal price for dvd's in japan. My guess about the release date is somewhere late summer or autumn.

The first DVD had English subs, so I can't see why this one won't. As for a release date, 'Azumi' took precisely six months, so if 'Azumi 2' does the same, it'll be released in September. However most of the money from the original Azumi film was made through DVD sales, so hopefully they'll get this one out a bit sooner. Also, 'Install' only took 4 months before it was released on DVD, so maybe we'll get to see it as soon as July Smile

Yo,
Was at one of the markets in SF's nihonmachi, and burst out laughing when I passed the refridgerated goods section...

There's a 6-pack health drink with Aya's picture plastered on it. rofl

Glad someone's cashing in these days. hehe

Too much. Standard edition is probably going to be 3800 yen (about 36 US$) and if there's a special edition it's most likely 4800 to 5800 yen.

So in US $$$ that should be round $56-$58, i would be ok if it was at that price, but the deluxe edition i got for Azumi at the store i went to was like.....$65 or $70 some odd i forgot, but still it was expensive

Japanese DVDs are very expensive, but they tend to be worth it. The deluxe edition of Azumi was fantastic and well worth the money.

I payed 67$ + shipping for it. But was worth it. I even loved the documentaries though there were no subs. Before I had payed 45$ (+ shipping) for the standard edition, but I got most of that money back when I sold it Eke.

btw, the prize for standard edition was so high that at first I wasn't sure whether to buy that film at all. I wasn't any huge fan of the director and I had never heard of Aya. I also had read some bad reviews but finally thought to take a big risk and buy it. At least I would get something for my money as there was some cute looking japanese girl in the lead...
Turned out to be the best decision I have ever made... Dancing

When I get a spare moment, I'll make timed subtitles for both documentaries for everyone who bought the Japanese DVDs. The UK DVD release featured both documentaries with fantastic subtitles (though unfortunately burnt-in). The documentaries were probably better than the actual film hehe
