Aya Ueto joins cast of Kazunari Ninomiya's 24h TV special drama, "Kurumaisu de Boku wa Sora o Tobu"!
Actress Aya Ueto (26) will play the female lead in the special drama "Kurumaisu de Boku wa Sora o Tobu", which airs on August 25 as part of the 35th Nihon TV 24-hour television charity telethon, it was announced on June 22. Ueto will be starring alongside Kazunari Ninomiya (29) for the first time in twelve years, since the Fuji TV drama "Namida o Fuite". Ueto, who played Ninomiya's sister in the 2000 drama, commented "I'm excited and nervous but very much looking forward to it!"
"Kurumaisu-" is an adaptation of pro-counselor Taizo Hasegawa's non-fiction book "Inochi no Counseling" and tells the story of a wheelchair-bound man, Yasuyuki Hasebe (Ninomiya), who pulls himself out of his misery by becoming a life counselor.
Ueto will play the role of Kumi Kato, a naive store clerk with a heartbreaking past whom Yasuyuki meets while hospitalized. "As a woman, I think this character is someone I can relate to and empathize with," explained Ueto. "I'm reading the script all the while thinking about how Ninomiya might act his scenes out. I'll do my very best until the end so please look forward to watching," she commented with anticipation.
The drama will also star popular child actor Fuku Suzuki, and Hiroko Yakushimaru, who will play the role of Yasuyuki's mother. Suzuki, who played the part of a young Ninomiya in the drama "Freeter, Ie o Kau." commented, "This time we'll actually be acting with each other so I'm excited. I'll do my best!" Yakushimaru, whose role of a mother struggling for independence marks her first time co-starring with Ninomiya, expressed her joy at being cast, saying, "I've been watching his work since he was a teenager, looking forward to someday acting with him. I'm really thrilled and excited."
Producer Hidehiro Kawano commented, "Ueto will bring frustration and hope and Yakushimaru will provide motherly love, tenderness and strength. I'm convinced they will be able to embody these various emotions in this story."

And... why was Aya crying in the earlier photo's? Whenever I see her cry, i feel sad for her or any of her characters if it's a Drama...
I didn't see the show, but it appears they showed clips from her childhood. As you know Aya has a very loving family and seeing herself as a little girl may have brought back a flood of special feelings. She is going to be an amazing Mother!
Ueto Aya remains the CM Queen in the first half of 2012
On August 8th, Video Research Ltd. once again released various statistics about the usage of commercials in the first half of 2012. As usual, they concentrated their analysis on the three main regions of Japan (Kanto, Kansai, and Nagoya) and the five main commercial networks.
When looking at the talents used in commercials, it was actress Ueto Aya that claimed the top in all three regions again. Actress Takei Emi claimed second place in Kanto, while AKB48�fs Oshima Yuko came in second place in Kansai and Nagoya. Third place went to AKB48�fs Maeda Atsuko in all three regions. Two people experienced huge boost during the first half of 2012, actress Gouriki Ayame jumped from the 300th place and beyond into the top 20 in all three regions.

Ueto: Hisazane is a staff of certain shop at the hospital, Yasuyuki is one of the patient there, and for some reason, she was attracted by him. She also has dark sides in her heart, but she can get along with Yasuyuki.
Nino: Hisazane is a cheerful character, from the first time they met, she already accompany Yasuyuki, after that, they talked about something deeper, she becomes different than usual, and Yasuyuki thinks the cheerful Hisazane when they first met is so much better.
Ueto: Ninomiya san corrected me many times when I said the words which in the different tempo with the script, and to repeat them to better tempo becoming my target now.
Nino: Great humility (laugh). Because I only think about Ueto san.
Ueto: You don�ft, we just read some character in a script, I�fm afraid there are many people who considered it serious (Nino�fs words). That was just a sentence..
