Man, thiis news is really disappointing.
Maybe the Japanese media was right about this guy all along. From the start, many predicted this Oshio douche was no good for Akiko Yada ... driving many of her endorsements away, getting her prego, and forcing her to a near 3yr hiatus from any films or dramas.

Yes! Yada Akiko is cutting her loser husband loose.
I don't know how this will be viewed in Japan but I would think
this will be a very positive move both personally and professionally
for her. Hope to see her back to work soon.

Actress Akiko Yada (30) and actor Manabu Oshio (31) are now officially divorced. The two had already been living apart for about half a year, and with Oshio's recent arrest, Yada has taken the opportunity to complete the separation.
In a signed fax sent to the media by her agency, Yada wrote that they began living separately due to Oshio's infidelity and a difference in their values. Now that Oshio has been arrested on drug charges and may possibly be involved in a woman's death, Yada felt that she had to consider the effect of the scandal on her son and the other people around her. In her message, she apologized and accepted responsibility as Oshio's ex-wife.
It is said the divorce papers had already been prepared for a while, but they were only submitted after the scandal broke out. Yada did not mention the exact date of the divorce, or other details such as whether there will be any consolation money.

Hi everyone! Haha...! It's feel great to know that Yada Akiko has quite a huge fan base here in Jdorama! I just want to share my experience here. I knew and became a fan of Yada Akiko since I was in secondary school,in form four. Through drama Yamato Nadeshiko,I just couldn't stop myself to admire her talent in acting,and of course her beauty! From there,everything was history. I started to 'hunt down' all her dramas and films. Unfortunately,I still couldn't finish my collections of her. But,anyway,I'm proud to admit that she is my favourite Japanese actress. Yes! She's a very talented actress. Her acting skill matured and become interesting from time to time. Among dramas that you need to check it out are:
Yamato Nadeshiko,Shiroi Kyoto (The Great White Tower),My Little Chef,Last Christmas,Boku No Ikiru Michi and Cross Fire (film).

On August 22nd, actress Yada Akiko attended a press conference for the original drama series, �gOh! Debbie�g, which will air on the new BS digital channel, �gBS Skapa!�h (Skapa JSAT). As this will be her musical debut, Yada said, �gThis will be my first time both singing and dancing. I am working hard with my lessons everyday so I can show a proper act.�h
Yada will play the role of �eTanaka Karin�f, a 29-year old introverted woman who fulfills her dream of passing the entrance exam for the musical troupe, �gTop Hat�h. However, Karin is put into the group of �eleftovers�f called, �gDebbie�h, that is filled with chubby people. From a troubled life, Karin produces miracles through �gDebbie�h.
�gIt�fs difficult. There are lots of things I have to do other than acting. I hope to find a new side of myself,�h commented Yada, and continued, �gI want to create an entertaining piece of work that is fun and flashy, something that people can cry and laugh at.�h When asked what she plans to do from here on, she answered, �gRight now, I am busy with �eOh! This a very good news indeed! Looks like we gonna see more of her acting after divorcing with Oshio Manabu. Even though she's already 33 now,I believe she still able to take up leading roles in any genre of drama and film.
