d-addicts has been working fine for me today, it's http://wiki.d-addicts.com that I've been having issues with; sometimes it doesn't open up.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone from Australia is able to access the website (optus)?
I've tried flushing with reboots several times, but still doesn't work..

I know all I can do is wait, but could it be my ISP?

Thanks! Bow

Well, I guess I'm one of those who has to wait. I successfully flushed the cache, rebooted, and it's still not working.

Hey I'm from AU as well, and it doesn't work for me either...
I'm not with optus tho...

Let me know if you know if the site works for you.

Just Googled this info:

How to flush my DNS cache?
After a site move its possible that your local ISP's DNS server will continue to send you to the 'old' address. Sometimes, it is possible to do a "flush dns" to re-retrieve the updated DNS record and thus see the site at its new location.

Although it does not work 100% of the time, you can try these steps to flush the DNS cache. If they don't work for you, unfortunately you'll just wait till the DNS cache expires and refreshes on its own, varies from minutes to days depending on the ISP.

1. 1. Go to: Start Menu > Run...
2. 2. Type: command
3. 3. Type: ping yourdomain.com

Note the IP address it says in "Reply From 111.222.333.444: bytes=32 time=12ms TTL=51"

4. 4. Type: ipconfig /flushdns
5. 5. Type: ping yourdomain.com and note the new IP address.

(If they did not update, you may have to repeat step 3-5 again)

6. After the IP numbers update, you should be able to visit your site on the new server in your browser.

If that doesn't work, have someone else test your site remotely or wait for the DNS propagation.

I think all ISPs have a DNS flush... It's just a matter of how long in between. Sweat
