Is SMAPXSMAP on Fuji tv as well ?
how many tv channels do u have in Japan ?

I'm not a Nihon-jin, but I can answer you that SMAPxSMAP is aired on Fuji TV weekly for about 1 hour.

BTW, Nakai-kun is everything in the entertainment industry. He's an accomplished host (that's why he gets to do reports for the Olympic Games), dancer, singer, actor, comedian, producer...he has probably done it all.

Just watched a little of Takenouchi Yutaka's new jap drama. He is supposed to converse in English for some parts of the show and I thought he sounded great speaking English!!!

Takenouchi Yutaka supposedly lived in the states while he was an aspiring model. He says it was such a long time ago that he's forgotten most of his English, but maybe he's learned it all back again. Smile I heard him talk English once in the Beach Boys special but I was a little disappointed... nice to hear that he's gotten better!! w00t!

Oh, I read somewhere that Aya (Ueto) also went to Athens. Apparently she's doing reports for Sanspo.

I forgot all about Sakaguchi Kenji! He studied in Hawaii during his university days! So I suppose he speaks English.

He did CMs for AEON where he spoke a few sentences in English.
He was also an 'English teacher' in Tentai Kansoku,
so I suppose he does speak at least simple English?

Oh yeah, I forgot about this too...I'm not sure how much English he can speak, but his pronunciation in those Aeon (?) English school cms with Mizuno Miki isn't that good. I think Mizuno Miki was actually better than him....does anyone know if she lived in the states for awhile or anything?

I think Ishida Issei and Kimura Yoshino are considered quite good at English as well.

I've Oshio Manabu speak English in a bunch of his dramas. I know he did it in Haru Ranman, Love Revolution, and 2001 No Otoko Un.

Hm...most of the people I know can speak English have already been mentioned.

But I've also heard that Okada Junichi from V6 is fluent in English (I'm not too sure about the fluent). But he sang the song "Back at One" in English once at a concert all in English, and it didn't sound too bad.

I think Kuraki Mai can speak fluent English too...or at least to get her by.

I used to think Oshio Manabu was super cool, but he started to flaunt his english abilities a little too much and it started getting on my nerves (he really IS good, though). It's also irritating how he sticks random cuss words in his songs just to sound cool.... bleh

I don't think Kuraki Mai can speak fluent English (although she must really want to)...not only does the pronunciation in her songs suck, but she sings things like "love, day after 'morrow, i miss you"...I doubt anyone with passable knowledge of the English language would be caught dead saying things like that...hehe hehe

Oh, I don't think Okada is fluent either (he thought "low" means "slow" hehe) ...too bad. Sad He must have a failry good ear though because his pronunciation isn't too bad in songs. I hope he starts studying English and gets real good at it! That would be cool!!

i used to like oshio manabu after 2001 otoko...
but it all changed after his cussing bad grammar cd came out...
and after that drama he did about politicians (the drama with the theme song ARE U ALIVE?)

had to say, i still have a little faith in him...

kimura takuya can speak random words in english
words that he knows:
MAYBE
MUSTO BE (MUST BE)
THANK YOU
GOOD LUCK
NHL

....ran out of ideas, please add to the list if you thought of something else...

True, I don't understand one bit of her pronounciation.

Nah Okada is not fluent and I agree that his pronounciation is not that bad.

i guess his songs pretty much reflects the person he is?.. he's not trying to be cool coz he IS cool.. hehehe..

i know his songs have some bad words but u have to agree with me that he's talented.. ignore the words, just listen to the music.. hahaha.. better yet, if u dont like his songs, stop listening.. i just listen to one of his songs myself..

just keep on watching his dramas.. ull surely fall in love with him again.. come on ppl, keep on supporting manabu oshio.. Yeah
